Pokémon GO's Festival of Lights event is back for Trainers in India on October 18th, with the return of Pikachu wearing saree and kurta

Pokémon GO's annual Festival of Lights event will be returning this year exclusively for Trainers in India, running from Saturday, October 18th, at 10:00am to Thursday, October 23rd, at 8:00pm local time. This event celebrates Diwali, a five-day long festival originating in the Indian subcontinent.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonus will be active for Trainers in India throughout the event period:

• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Incense duration (excluding Daily Adventure Incense).
• Get Pikachu wearing a saree or Pikachu wearing a kurta stickers when spinning PokéStops.

Collection Challenge
Catch-focused Collection Challenges requiring Trainers to catch Festival of Lights-themed Pokémon will be available during this event. Trainers completing these challenges will receive a Premium Raid Pass, Stardust, and XP.

Timed Research
Free event-exclusive Timed Research with branching tasks will be available as part of this event. Trainers completing these research tasks will receive stickers, a Premium Raid Pass, Rare Candy, and Poké Balls, as well as an encounter with Pikachu wearing a saree or Pikachu wearing a kurta depending on the path chosen.

Increased Incense Encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently when Trainers use Incense:

• Chinchou ⁂
• Volbeat ⁂
• Litwick ⁂
• Morelull ⁂
• Tadbulb

During this event, certain wild Pokémon that are attracted to Incense will have a glowing effect when encountered during the nighttime.

Field Research Task Encounters
Festival of Light-themed Field Research tasks will be available as part of this event. On completing these tasks, Trainers will be able to encounter the following Pokémon:
