Pokemon GTS website open now!

Nice if you want complete and utter proof of how useless the system is (Dialga and Palkia are at the top of every chart) but other than that it doesn't really serve much purpose.

There's not even any guarantee at all that you'll find any of the Pokemon listed on the site within the game 'cos you only get a selection of 5 for each Pokemon in-game and you can't even change which 5 you get by searching again.

Wasted opportunity to fix the in-game system really. If you'd been able to at least bookmark trades and tie them to your Friend Code and then use the actual game to trade afterwards, it would have been useful.

As it stands, it's just a bloated flash program telling you how many dumb trades like Palkia for a Bulbasaur are on the system.
 
Well, at least I'm able to see that almost-dreadful quiet around South East Asia (and hence Singapore...)...
 
Yup, totally useless thing really, although kinda neat for a few minutes...

One interesting thing which makes me understand why there are never any Pokemon events in Canada is the 25k GTS participants here in contrast to the 300k in the US...
 
Nice site, but the music gets reaaaaaally irritating after a while, and you can't turn it off ><

and hopefully it's built upon and gradually becomes a system that could serve more use to people.

and people trade Dialga/Palkias for Magikarps? (I don't have access to the GTS at the moment, no access to wifi :| ) What's the reasoning behind that?
 
It's neat until I get to the point where I need to install Flash Player 9, then I couldn't be bothered. =)
 
Looks nice, though the flash blinds me. x_x' The music is well... loud.
But overall, I like it - it's atleast better than what I expected. It's finally inspired me to get back to my WiFi System Project too. :p
 
This has some interesting statistics on it, like the few countries with fewer than 1000 GTS users generally NOT having the typical Dialga/Palkia/Milotic/Garchomp/Spiritomb/etc in their top 5, but it's not really useful for anything but statistics.

We really need a way to see more than (the oldest?) 5 trade offers in the real GTS for each Pokemon, but I doubt that'll happen any time soon unless they start randomly picking 5 offers each time you search. Which doesn't seem like it'd be that hard, but who knows...

Nope, which is one of things they need to add eventually.

Also, I noticed Deoxys, Jirachi, and Celebi aren't selectable. That makes sense, but why the heck is Kadabra unaccessible too?

This is a total waste of time. It is fun to see how many people trade their Palkias for other Palkia though. They should have spent less time on this site and more time trying to improve the GTS. I do want to see my trade on the site though...

Why is all the pictures on the "Top 10 Pokemon traded for this" a bulbasaur for every single one? I also love how the website shows how many of each gender there is. I'm assuming that's for the trainer?
 
Okay, so I understand that you can't click on LUgia, Ho-oH, Mew, Celebi, Manaphy, Phione, Deoxys, and Jirachi.

But why can you not click on WORMADAM? :|
 
A shiny pokemon has popped up a few times for me, but you cant just ask for shiny. The other day i acually witnessed a Shiny Riolu being CLONED! Im browsing for a Riolu when BAM! I see a GOLD Riolu! And the guy wants a Mothim lv 9 and under! So being dumb, i freak out and race to hatch my Burmy egg, hoping to somehow raise it in record time and evolve it, but then, PING! (Light bulb flashes) A- DUH! you cant get a Lv 9 or under Mothim! I was a little upset.:(
