pokemon hgss gym leader's pokemon

what do you guys think of the pokemon that the gym leaders own in hgss. both the gym battles, and their rematch battle. i think it's weird that surge has a pachirisu on his rematch team, alonside raichu, magnezone, electrike, electrode, and electavire. it is so weak on stats. mort having gengar twice is just weird. there's more ghost types you know. and don't get me started with clair.


also, how many tries do you think it's going to take you to beat red? his pokemon are powerful, with powerful attacks. what team do you think you're going to use to battle red?
 
Why do we even bother with an HGSS section?

I'd have liked every gym leader in Johto to have had one johto pokemon. But whatever. They are still a challenge.

Red. One try. An Agni Kai atop Mt. Silver. To the pain. Not death, otherwise it'd have to be censored.

Seriously why would it take more than one try to beat Red? His Pokemon are high level but still...

(Why not in HGSS froum?)
