Welcome to The Haunting of Hotel Aurora
This is a horror/survival RP with a twist. Rather than being guided down a set storyline the players are put into a hotel with only the basics of the story. The rest of the story and what they must do must be uncovered by the players as they explore the hotel and try to stay alive.
One other twist is the presence of a traitor in the group. One of the players (informed and sorted out by PM) will be working to try and guide the group to their deaths. They will have access to more information than the others about the overall storyline form the start.
This is meant to be part of a series if it goes well, and the outcome of this (good or bad) will have an effect on the next RP in the series. If a player manages to survive they will be able to bring their character to the next RP with a small survivors bonus.
The RP will continue until one of the following things happens;
-Everyone dies
-The group survivors escape
-The group inadvertently makes things worse.
- The group discovers the secret of the hotel and defeats the evil (Or just defeats the evil through blind luck)
Anyway onto the story, this is set in a world where pokemon fill the role of humans.
Hotel Aurora is a classic haunted mansion. Once being the home of a famous champion battler, his children converted the mansion into a hotel after his death, using his popularity to attract guests. After about 10 years of business the hotel abruptly became silent. No signs of life could be seen through the windows, and nobody who entered the hotel ever came out again.
Our story starts one stormy night, when nine travellers are forced to take shelter in the mansion by a fierce storm. Trapped inside the mansion they must fight to survive and uncover its secrets, or find a way to escape before its too late.

Species: Snivy
Appearance: That of a normal Snivy, aside from the fact that he dons rectangular glasses due to short-sghtedness and his tail has been torn to something more resembling shredded paper than an actual leaf, it's so tattered.
Personality: Cil is cruel, first and foremost, delighting in the pain of others, whether emotional, mental or physical. He is intelligent, despite this, and often blunt and cutting when he deigns it worth his time to contribute something to a conversation. He prefers his own company to that of other people, and will often only speak through insults or sarcastic comments. He also possesses an extreme superiority complex; he thinks that he is the only one worth listening to, and as such is untrusting to other's ideas, and will only ever do what he pleases. He does not take well to orders.
History: Cil had always been a loner; estranged from his former family due to his superiority complex and general cruelty Cil spent most of his life by himself, learning to fight and survive in the wilderness. He happened upon Hotel Aurora by chance, and figured that anywhere was better than being stuck in the forest around the area, under the constant threat of other Pokemon and in the horrendous weather that came with the territory.

Appearance: Lambert appears just like any other Bisharp, aside from a ragged scar across the front of his "helmet". The scar sometimes causes others to view him as more intimidating than he actually is.
Personality: Lambert is rather aloof and generally quite calm, though he is easily bored. He works best under pressure and rather enjoys it, sometimes to the point of disregarding others' and his own safety. He sometimes plays mind games with others just to make them mad, especially when he decides that he is in need of entertainment.
History: Lambert was a hotheaded and reckless youth, getting himself labeled a troublemaker when he acted out due to his boredom. He received the scar on his head as a result of a misguided prank on a local bully, which ultimately ended with both the bully and Lambert caught in a rockslide. Since the incident, Lambert has matured outwardly, but is still sometimes driven to act thoughtlessly when he becomes bored. Lately, he has been making a name for himself as a professional detective, and was drawn to Hotel Aurora in hopes of solving its mystery.

History: Laura is a very young Litwick.In fact,she's the youngest among her group.She usually plays around with the other Litwicks.It was about to rain when she got separated from her group.Almost about to panic,she spotted Hotel Aurora.Without a choice,she ran inside.

History: used to be bullied, now doesn't open up much (hence the hiding true feelings thing), very trusting towards friends the few friends he had before they had to move away. heading to aurora because received a mysterious letter from a passed away lover telling him to meet her there.

Game System
The game is split into scenes. In each scene you will be given a summary of the situation, which will usually include a basic description of your surroundings and possible exits.
You may now interact with your surroundings. Try to leave enough open-endedness in your posts for me to work with. Also if someone interacts with something that had a big effect, or if the scene it taking a long time to go through I may post a mini-scene updating the scene with what is going on.
In this RP the players can be injured or killed. While I won’t be killing people off left, right and centre this is a horror based RP so expect some deaths.
Pokemon may also become knocked unconscious or kidnapped. If either of these things happen the player controlling the pokemon may not post until their wake up/are rescued by the group.
If a group are going completely the wrong way to rescue a player I may give that player the option to escape by themselves, becoming a group of 1 separated from the main group.
If the group is split on where to go they may choose to split up. In order to do this one person simply states they intend to split off and where they want to go, and then others may post saying they are joining them. Please try to be sensible with this, not only does it make it more complicated for me but also remember that this is Horror based, and we all know how splitting up goes in horror movies.

Fighter - Either through a history of training or a harsh life, this Pokémon has honed themselves into excellent fighters. [Gains a bonus in combat, some major wounds have a lesser effect due to pain tolerance and defensive skills]
Clairvoyant - This pokemon is in touch with their spiritual side. They are able to use a Sixth Sense to guide them through their lives. [ Ghost, psychic and Dark types only, player may choose to forgo an action and receive a hint about the situation at hand]
Detective - This pokemon is a particularly astute problem solver. They are able to make connections that other pokemon may not. [ Player will receive extra information when examining an object. If they examine something that is relevant to something they have seen before they get a reminder, rather than it being left to their memory]
Healer - The pokemon world is a harsh place and those who are able and willing to heal the injuries of those around them are a valuable resource. [ Player is able to heal minor injuries and lessen the effect of major injuries, as well as make use of medical equipment beyond berries.]

1. No godmodding. Also included in this is effecting the environment too much. (Saying you intend to open a door is fine, actually posting yourself opening it is not).
2. Votes are not set until I post the next scene, even after everyone has voted if I have not posted you may roleplay or try to convince others to your point of view.
3. Deadline for a scene is two days. If everyone has voted and is done talking the scene may be posted quicker. If a player misses three scenes in a row their character will be controlled by me from that point onwards and may be liable to die messily.
