What Pokémon are found in the Orange Islands. Im sure if you watched every episode of the anime that is set in the Orange Islands, you could probably make a list of every Pokémon that ever appears.
However in addition to those, what other Pokémon do you think would be in the Orange Islands? Im mainly referring to GS and RS Pokémon that weren't around during that period.

My thoughts are that you'd probably find Sharpedo and Wailmer in the oceans. Swellows, Zigzagoons, Sentrets, Spinarak, Ledyba (were seen in the second minimovie anyway) and Wurmple would probably be there too.

What are your opinions?

Any Pokémon the writers felt like putting in there if they ever went back.

Most of the Water Pokémon would be there and plenty of Pokémon that can survive on the islands. I would say not the biggest, but Snorlax and Onix were already found there.

Any Pokemon could theoretically be in the Orange Islands. Even new Pokemon as well.

That's why in the BF saga which takes place in Kanto, there are a ton of wild Johto and Hoenn Pokemon roaming around.

Heh, wild Tropius and Elekid in Kanto, Ash missed them all his first time through Kanto. :p

not necessarily -- their ranges could have changed in the years since he's been gone.

Ash also missed all the trainers with non-Kanto Pokémon. Odd that...

Apparently he also missed all the Pokemon Contests too his first time through Kanto. Unless of course the Contest halls were built there later on or something...

Ash probably wouldn't be interested in contests. Brock made them take a detour to go to the one in Johto.

Sure, but it seems odd he never bumped into one. If Ash stops to help every little trainer on their journey, especially ones that used Pokemon to help with their occupation or something, it seems odd he never bumped in to a single Contest in Kanto.

I guess this is what happens when you have a show based on a game that constantly introduces new stuff and makes it seem odd that the old stuff existed.

Isn't that what happens in the games anyways, with wild Houndour, Murkrow, Noctowl, Ledian, and Spinarak being found in Kanto in GSC?
