The RightStuf website has a listing for the third Indigo League DVD box set. It even has the set's cover art featuring a hilariously out-of-place Machop.

The set will contain Episode 53-79, which will finish out the Indigo League. This list has not been confirmed yet, but the episodes included in the set are most likely going to be:

"Riddle Me This"
"Vocanic Panic"
"Beach Blank-Out Blastoise"
"Princess Versus Princess"
"The Purr-fect Hero"
"The Misty Mermaid"
"Clefairy Tales"
"The Battle of the Badge"
"It's Mr. Mimie Time"
"Holiday Hi-Jynx"
"Snow Way Out"
"Showdown at the Poke Corral"
"The Evolution Solution"
"The Pi-Kahuna"
"Make Room for Gloom"
"Lights, Camera, Quacktion!"
"Go West, Young Meowth"
"To Master the Onixpected"
"The Ancient Puzzle of Pokémopolis"
"Bad to the Bone"
"All Fired Up"
"Round One-Begin!"
"Fire and Ice"
"Fourth Round Rumble"
"A Friend in Deed"
"Friend or Foe Alike"
"Friends to the End"

Good. Makes me wonder if the Orange Islands will be re-released or if they'll just skip them and move to Johto.

Still waiting for them to do Battle Frontier on DVD. They finished up Advance a long time ago, what are they waiting for?

Nice to see the Americans finally getting some boxsets. The only thing is why they took so long. Eh, regardless, nice ep list there.

(Master Quest and Pokemon Advance out Oct 10. The tower of boxsets released here will soon be bigger then my monitor.)

This is great news. The only problem for me is that it comes out just three days after my birthday. Too bad, but this is still wonderful news. I'm glad that they're going to release the third volume only a few months after the second volume set, instead of waiting another year to do so like what they did with the second volume set. I actually hope that they'll go and re-release the Oragne Island saga in a box set. It is kind of hard to find the three discs outside of the Internet, and even that can be diffitcult for people too. Besides, they could probably fit that whole season in only one box set and then go on to Johto. Anyway, this is so great to hear and I'll be happy when I have both of these new Indigo League volume sets.

53-79? It's NOT complete Indigo, but since the rest are included in old Orange boxes...

Next step? Maybe Johto Journeys... but what about Battle Frontier?

Or this may be the last box set they release. No one ever said they would do any other box sets after this one.

Remember how we thought we were going to get Advanced Challenge boxsets after the Advanced ones came out? And how that didn't happen? At this point, I think that expecting a Johto boxset will just set you up for disappointment when there's no evidence that we'll even get any more boxsets after this one. Especially since seasons like Johto Journies don't have the same nostalgia factor going for them that the Indigo episodes have.

I hope so too. Not because the old ones are hard to find or anything (though they are)...it's because the Orange Islands discs on the market today look like shit. There's no reason for a DVD to have the same video quality as a VHS of a TV broadcast recorded in EP mode.

Dogasu, you really think they'll put Holiday Hi-Jynx on there?

I thought about that too, but the numbers don't match up unless it's included.

Though it is possible they'll exclude it and tack "Pallet Party Panic" at the end. That's why I said that the list hasn't been confirmed yet.

PUSA, as well as a large number of fans, consider "Pallet Party Panic" to be an Orange Islands episode.

That depends; i tend to count first Orange League episode being The Lost Lapras, since it's when the 2nd opening starts in the tapes dubbers here got from 4kids. Plus, it's hard to call US versions as "regular" (KWB-specific edits comes to mind, or how first episode of JLC was aired with Johto Journeys opening).

Oh, so one question - did PA boxsets contin the same, KWB-edited versions of episodes?

If these boxsets are selling well, I don't see why they wouldn't continue. I think we all know the sales of the boxsets post-Kanto probably won't sell as much but they should do fine. Is there any way to find out sales figures for the boxsets, btw?

Remember how we thought we were going to get Advanced Challenge boxsets after the Advanced ones came out? And how that didn't happen?

Maybe because they still wanted the individual Advance releases to continue to sell?

They call it Season 1? Whoa...I guess this officially means they shifted the seasons after 4Kids lost the show...or it was a mistake. One of the two.

I do hope the Pikachu's Jukeboxes are included, though.

Because Johto won't sell as well as Kanto, and PUSA knows this. A lot of non-fans are picking up these Kanto boxsets out of pure nostalgia. The only people picking up Johto boxsets will be the Pokemon fans who *weren't* bored to tears by the endless amount of filler that saga had to offer.

You can get a very *general* idea from the Amazon.com sales rankings, but it's not reliable enough to base any type of argument on.

Maybe because they still wanted the individual Advance releases to continue to sell?

The first Advanced DVD boxset came out nine months after the final Advanced single DVD was released.

It's been almost a year and a half since the last Advanced Challenge disc went on sale. If we were going to get a boxset, we'd probably have one by now.

Then why did they take a risk and randomly put Master Quest on boxsets out of the blue?

Not to mention those collector edition Johto league Champion DVDs that had 7 eps per disc. The only saga they skipped was Johto Journies, honestly. (not counting those older 3 ep DVDs)

And considering they actually went through the entire Hoenn region with 5 eps per disc on DVD, they have to be selling somewhat well or they wouldn't have been able to do all three seasons of Advance. I'm pretty certain in one of the newer Pokemon.com mailbags they said they had plans to put Battle Frontier on DVD as well.

Because releasing the season(s) in a box set is the cheapest way for them to release it.

Again, they did that because it's cheaper to do so.

The fewer episodes they put on each disc, the more discs they have to print.

Hoenn had the advantage of being a "fresh restart" series that got may people into the show after the tedious Johto years. "Johto Journies" doesn't have that distinction.

I mean, I could be wrong and we will be getting Johto Journies boxsets. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't.

I must say I am excited to know I will finally ahve all of the older episodes. However I want to know if anyone knows when the Battle Frontier is coming out.

I thought that they didn't go on to do Advanced Challenge boxsets was because they were focused on putting the Indigo League sets for the tenth anniversary event. As well as those tenth anniversary single discs and the boxset for that as well. But that's just my guess.

Ah, yes. I never got a chance to get the single discs, but I have heard that the quality of the single DVDs was not good at all. If they did put them in a boxset, they would definately clean up the quality, at least a bit better

I always saw the first Orange Islands episode to be when the theme song changed. Of course, that's how I see every start to a new season.

Good point. I'm sure that many older fans, who aren't interested in Pokemon anymore, are picking up these boxsets for nostalgia and maybe some collectors too. I definately would be one of the people picking up Johto boxsets. I'm probably one of the few people who didn't mind how long it was. Well, that was before I learned what a filler is. Still, I would love getting the other season volume sets because most episodes before Masters Quest are hard to find, aside from the first Indigo set. Besides that, I just prefer boxsets over single discs for being less expensive than getting all the single discs and I really like the art covers better as well. Only time will tell if we do get more volume sets after this. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Assume that PUSA does decide to release Johto boxsets. Also assume that the number of episodes in each Johto boxset is the same as Indigo. How many boxsets would Johto need?

Johto Journies would require two 20/21-episode sets or one big, 41-episode set. Johto League Champions would require two sets.

Master Quest is already out, so they probably wouldn't bother re-releasing it.
