OOC: I think we can figure out the rest of the details as we go, @Dreamy, @BlazingQuilava. @gmandiddy, sorry I forgot to mention you, @Joltik in the title, it completely slipped my mind, and I dont know how to edit the title of a thread.

Professor Birch opened one of the windows of his office, and breathed in the smell of the, warm, sunny day. Today was another round of beginning-trainers first day, which meant it was his job to distribute starter Pokemon and Hoenn calibrated Pokedexes. This was one of the jobs he enjoyed doing most as the head researcher in the Hoenn region. He made sure he had all the available Pokedexes and Pokeballs, as he eagerly awaited the arrival of the trainers-to-be.

The wind gently brushed through the boy's dark brown hair as he ran down the road. His rucksack bounced up and down; the sound of books and pens clanged together. He suddenly stopped before a small sign. He examined it and read: "Littleroot Town" Moments later, the young boy continued to run down the road, with a huge grin wiped across his face. Today was the day he would receive his starter Pokemon. It was a historical day, it was the day James Thompson had his first Pokemon.

James halted in front of a large building. It stood out from the other buildings; it had two large green doors and a loads of windows plastered around the walls. James continued to smile and said, "Let's do this."

Lacey looked at the fridge. she couldn't decide whether she should take the Ham or the pork chops. as she loved both. After a few seconds of thinking, she selective the ham picked up her bag, and headed out the door. It was a short walk, or a run as she was too excited to walk. As she approached the professor's lab, she saw anther boy go in ahead of her.

Today was the day, the glorious day in which Savannah Lerran would finally get her hands on a Pokemon. This was something she'd been waiting for for years, and nothing was going to come between her and Professor Birch's lab to get her starter. Nothing of course, but the apparent fact that she couldn't find her brand new backpack anywhere. Gritting her teeth, the brunette put her hands on her hips, glaring around the room she'd just turned inside out.

"Why can't I find it?" The petite girl muttered before shouting at the top of lungs for her mother, turning towards the door expectantly.

"I can't find my bag," She pouted, crossing her arms as her mother appeared in the doorway.

"Savannah, you shouldn't shout in the house," Her mother said sternly before holding out the aforementioned bag, "You left it in the kitchen, remember?"

Blinking up at her mother, Savannah smiled sheepishly before taking the bag from her, "Thank you," Hugging her mother, she let go before looking for her father before she left. Waving goodbye to her parents, she hitched the bag onto her back, and set out for Professor Birch's lab, intent on getting there first so she could choose the best Pokemon.
