Pokémon Journey: The Kalos Days
The Kalos Region is full of mysteries, with its diverse landscapes and unity of many different cultures. It is truly a melting pot where people from all over the Pokémon World assimilate to become closer to nature or even to travel around with their Pokémon. From the sun-drenched beaches of Shalour City to the frigid, bleak mountains of Snowbelle, this region has so much to offer. Where will you come in?
Kalos has been fairly peaceful at large, and continues to attract new trainers each day. However, after years in training, Cyrus is preparing to resurrect his infamous organization, Team Galactic, with his sights set on the region's two legendary Pokémon: Xerneas and Yveltal. While their intentions were mostly unclear, they have merged with the previously forgotten Team Flare, under the command of Lysandre, who were able to recover from a crucial defeat two years prior.
This story will chronicle a small group of trainers and coordinators who start as complete strangers to each other but grow to be friends and meet new Pokémon. Some turn out to be Professors and others doctors. Some become breeders while others become top flight coordinators and battlers. They take on the gyms, contests and any other challenges each region has to offer. However, their journey is not all fun and games. Along the way, they make rivals, encounter a villainous team and may have to say goodbye to some loved ones. They may even be employed to fight alongside the the gym leaders to restore Kalo's peaceful state. The best part of this world is, by far, the room for journey, discovery and adventure. The possibilities are endless and everyone has their own story to tell. But for now, just enjoy your journey.
Rules:

- No godmodding/flaming/bunnying/etc.
- Keep romance PG-13.
- Any Pokémon in the Kalos dex can be found in the wild, as long as their location is appropriate.
- Be fair to other players.
- Battling is anime-style. Put the word 'bananas' in your application if you read these rules.
- Levels do not exist in this roleplay.
- Sir Red is the co-GM, listen to what he says.
I encourage everyone to come up with their own sub-plots involving their character. It leads to a more enjoyable experience, in my opinion.

Appearance: Jake is moderately tall for his age, standing at 6'0, and has a rather fair complexion. He has a well-toned, stocky musculature, due to a hardy, vigorous lifestyle. Jake has shaggy, dirty blond hair, which swoops down to cover his light hazel eyes. He normally shoots for comfort rather than style in his clothing, wearing a blue t-shirt with a grey design of a '?' Unown printed on it, under a black zip-up hoodie. Alongside that, Jake usually sports faded, brown cargo jeans and a pair of black and white running sneakers. He tops off the look with a necklace, a Sharpedo tooth on a string that he received as a gift.
Personality: Outward, cautious, cheerful, avoids conflict, a bit headstrong, and intelligent.
History: He was born in Cerulean City, a year before his younger sister, making him the oldest of two. He was raised by his mother and father in a large manor house near the local gym, and, his family being neither poor nor rich, had a classic middle-class upbringing. Jake lived a fairly normal life. He had a lot of friends at school and was generally liked by the people who knew him. He would often train Water-type Pokemon with the Gym Leader, Misty, however, he wasn't overly fascinated by them like his sister was. While he did devote most of his time to Pokemon training, Jake also spent time studying to keep his grades up.
At the age of thirteen, he began getting into battling as a sport. He started watching tapes of famous trainer battles and became more interested in travelling. Once his parents discovered Jake's interest in battling, they sent him to the Pokemon Trainer School in Saffron City. He learned the basics and studied hard, and, even though he was outclassed by a few of the smarter students, graduated at the top of his class. Once he turned 16, his parents decided Jake could finally go on his journey.
