Pokémon Kanto raw DVDs?

The oldest episodes you'll find on DVD are from early Johto, so you might as well stop looking.

VHSes can be found at a number of import site, like CD Japan and Play Asia.

The Japanese do not sell the episodes on VHS or DVD anyway - it's all rental-only.

I have no idea. Perhaps because the geography of Japan allows them to reach most of the population via video rental shops.

As for Raikou, probably because they assumed it was a movie.

Also because, until a year ago, the Raikou special was Japan-only. We couldn't buy a professionally* translated version like we could the other episodes (even if those DVD's are the TV edit), so fans became upset when we couldn't legitly buy the Japanese version either.

*Yeah, I know there are people, myself included, who would hesitate to call "The Legend of Thunder" professionally translated. But you know what I mean.

It's also weird because you can buy the Myuutwo TV special, but not this one.

Well, thanks again for all your help. I've started up mirc and am downloading with that. If they don't want to release then I will download.

Yeah. Professional - as in they do bad adaptations for a living, and get paid for it.

Eh? I'm looking at my two Jouto DVDs right now. I'd hate to think of the charge if I had been renting them for this long. XP

You do realize the regular TV dub is nowhere near as bad as Chronicles, right?
