It's pretty good. I like it! I'm watching the demos and it looks great.

But, the only voices I hear that are similar to the anime's were Ash's, Brock's, Dawn's and the Team Rocket trio.

Plus, it's kinda corny.

So, what do you think of the Learning League?

Nothing special. The entirely American Pokemon thing with boring art. Aside from free demos, it's also expensive. And I'm not going to buy it because I don't think it's worth its price. So no. I don't like it.

I like how corny and unintentionally hilarious it is. So it's good for a laugh and nostalgia (particularaly, it reminds me of some kinda-old Magic School Bus educational CDs I used to have). But no, I would never actually subscribe to it.

They also gave Dawn sleeves and pants because they hate fanservice. Mean >:(
what's wrong with sleeves >8O
btw, pics please, I dont subscribe so I cant see Hikari in her PLL outfit

I wouldn't suscribe to them since it's far too expensive, nor do I particularly need it.

The one month free trial is good enough. It's what I'm using to view them all of them for Bulbapedia.

Trust me, you wouldn't want to view four of them in a row...

If Ash and the gang didn't know about that stuff already, what did they do in school??? Or did they even go to school?

Doubt it, consitering the age a child starts their Pokemon adventure is ten years old.

I always assumed that before they became trainers, children had to atleast go to school to learn the basics like reading, writing, and basic math. (You know, pretty much the only stuff that you'll ever really use once you're done with school. >_>)

...and that's kinda what the characters already start off with.

It isn't like like sesame street where they're teaching how to spell simple words. They don't dumb it down.

And what grades are ten years olds usually in? Grade 4 or 5? This is what the website is mostly aimed at, american kids in grades 3-6. It's also useful for younger kids at genius level and older kids with special needs.

Anyway, this isn't the kind of item that should be bought by Pokémon fans like us, but rather it's supposed to be bought by parents, teachers and school districts.

The one I watched didn't dumb it down really at all.

Also...Black People.

They only exist to teach in the Pokemon World.

Upon seeing your name on the list, I knew for some reason it was the new Habunake. XD

Anyway, I find Learning League amusing as an American interpretation of Pokémon, and I love it for that reason.

lol! sometimes i go there for a laugh but oh my gosh dawn looks dumb on that site its just good for a laugh if your sad or bored or something

Good in theory, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE in execution. If you want to teach the kids math, Teach them the Hidden Power formulas, give them random IV's, go wild. Teach them competive battling. Have them make EV spreads, I could go on, and on, and on... but I'll stop now

Technically, we the fans aren't even supposed to know about these game mechanics, the only reason why we do know about them is that someone hacked the game programming and found it. The game designers only give vauge hints that alluded to this mechanic in game text that's easily missed.

Besides, none of that is actually useful in real life.

OH GOD FUCK NO.

That's horrible.

I don't think it's all THAT bad... I like the fact that they're using the Pokemon characters to teach things to kids. It makes learning things like math more interesting.

And yes, Dawn looks REALLY odd...

It seems amusing If I were 7 or 10 I would make my parents subscribe to it. When watching the math section I felt like an uneducated moron because I realized i have forgotten like half of what my math teachers taught me in elementary school because I never cared enough to pay attention.
