Use this thread to discuss leaks, rumors, datamines and other unofficially announced content for Pokémon Legends Z-A.

Avoid posting links to 4chan, but feel free to post screenshots from it, as long as there isn't any objectional content.

And please keep discussion on the leaks and rumors themselves rather the leakers that shared them. It's okay to discuss them as a source for a leak or rumor, but solely focusing on the leakers as individuals is off-topic.

Finally, have fun!

Anyone else think Torchic's a little fishy of a pick since Blaziken already has a Mega and got focus already back when X and Y first came out?

Torchic would make sense to be one of the Starters since it (along with the other two Hoenn Starters and the Kanto ones) all have Megas.

I also highly doubt that there will be any new regional variants. For the first time ever the games will be set in a completely urban environment, which makes it hard to believe that they'll have them.

I agree. Why would there be regional forms. New Megas are honestly more likely.

Cities are... also an enviroment... in which animals adapt to. Sure IRL they havent had time to change drasticlly but its pokemon, they can probably adapt into reigonal forms far quicker.

Anyways I see no way their not going to have the literal Napoleon Pokemon as one of the starters.

I KNEW IT. SNIVY GOT IN.
And also, yay Totodile is back!! (probs due to popularity)
…I have a feeling that they put in Snivy and Totodile as an apology for those expecting BW remakes/Let’s Go Johto

They will never miss an opportunity to give a popular starter focus, remember that Charizard has had 2 Megas and a Gigantamax form. At least this one gets a regional variant so it's something a little different.

But I think other parts of this are fishy. Totodile is an unusual pick and Feraligatr being a Water/Steel "knight monster" is a very unusual and confusing direction. Grass/Ice Gogoat evo also doesn't make much sense, and I'd struggle to believe we'd get an Ice type evo or variant of anything in an urban based region (it's not 100% impossible, but there aren't that many concepts that would work here). And then the article itself points out that many people are having a hard time believing that Noivern is getting an evo. Noivern is pretty strong and complete enough so I struggle to believe it will ever get an evo. Lastly, they have Mega Chestnaught changing types to Grass/Steel and the other two remaining the same. I don't think they would only change 1 type out of the triangle, it'd either be all 3 or none.

Ultimately I do think this is fake. Too much here doesn't make much sense, this has the feeling of more of a wishlist than intelligently designed concepts around Kalos Pokemon and the urban redevelopment theme.

Agreed. I looked at it myself and decided to take it with a big old Garganacl.

More rumors surfaced, but i am not going to link them... reason is obvious.
One of those rumors feeds of of the one already mentioned and linked here (With Scorbunny, Totodile and Snivy as the starters)
Set 60 years in the future (The future bit is what i can get behind, but not the 60 years into it).
Cinderace looks like a Luchador (I mean... why... when they just can give Hawlucha an evolution instead)
Mentions Blastoise X and Venusaur X (Why wouldn't they be called Z instead though).
Apparently, according to the rumor, Tera raids return (Little redundant if you ask me, especially with Mega Evolution being a thing.

Rumor 2 is even more funny than rumor 1
Takes place after the Great Kalos War
Kalos was called Alonsias in the past (How... if it was called the Great Kalos War, but the game is set after it)
Era is 1700 france (Already a massive contradiction to the first 2 points)
New Pokemon -
Trevenant evolution (I wonder how they are gonna tackle that one, considering Trevenant itself is already a trade evo + is especially problematic for a past setting, since how are they gonna explain it wasn't in XY, where Trevenant got introduced)
Snorlax evo
Amongst others
New Alonsian Forms (Again, how)
Alonsian Pidgeot (Nearly impossible, since Mega Evolution is confirmed and it makes no sense Alonsian Pidgeot wouldn't be able to Mega Evolve while its Kanto counterpart can)
New Mega's
Proceeds to list Mega Eevee, but not Mega Pikachu (If Eevee gets a Mega, so does Pikachu + this would go against established lore only fully evolves can Mega).

Make of this what you want, but both are fakes.

THIS IS WHAT I'M HERE FOR

Viva la leak season, baby

Okay I would love a "fairytale" blaziken especially since I've been waiting for a fire/fairy type pokemon for forever. Serperior's is very vague. Serperior already feels vaguely royal to me...I guess they could play it up a bit, like give it a cape or a crown. Since it's early, this is likely fake, but I'm interested

Also, I fully expect regional variants simply because they're well received. They will find a way to shoehorn them into an urban environment lol. But also we've had pokemon adapt to "artificial" environments before already, like alolan grimer being brought in to deal with waste, galarian weezing adapting to take advantage of factory pollution, and alolan meowth being descendants of royal pets. I have no doubt they'll do it again, creatively.

To be fair on this one specifically, we DID just get Kingambit, I wouldn't rule it out.

Bisharp wasn't quite as complete as Noivern, plus it had a lower BST. Bisharp was 490 BST and Kingambit pushed it up to 550. Noivern is at 535 and the rumor says the evo has 600 BST, which is in pseudo-legend territory. Are they going to make an evo THAT strong? That's what I'm doubting the most with this rumor.

I honestly can think of the typing of the regional eevees and of some megas:
  • Mega Dragonite
  • Mega Flygon
  • Flareon - Fire-Rock
  • Vaporeon - Water-fairy
  • Jolteon - electric-dark
