Pokémon Legends Z-A Ranked Season 3 introduces Zygarde into the battle — Earn the Chesnaughtite at Rank S

Pokémon Legends Z-A Ranked Season 3 is confirmed to run from 27 November at 06:00 UTC to 18 December 2025 at 01:59 UTC, and will reward players with the Chesnaughtite at Rank S. To join the action, press the X Button while in-game, select Link Play, and then Ranked Battles.

Eligible Pokémon​

All Pokémon from Lumiose Pokédex No. 001-231 are eligible for use in the Z-A Battle Club. Only one of four Special Pokémon may be added to your team at a time, currently being Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Diancie. This is the first time Zygarde has been eligible for use, as well as its newly-introduced Mega-Evolved form.

Regional forms of the above Pokémon may be used as well, such as Alolan Raichu or Galarian Slowbro.

Mega-Evolved Pokémon introduced in the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC will not be eligible, including Mega Raichu X & Y, Mega Baxcalibur, Mega Chimecho, Mega Zeraora, and more yet to be announced. This is likely, but not explicitly confirmed, to include existing Mega Evolutions—or Primal Reversions—that aren't yet in the game, such as the Mega-Evolved forms of the Hoenn first partner Pokémon, that may appear in Mega Dimension.

Duplicate held items are not allowed; for example, if two Pokémon are both holding a Life Orb, the team won't be eligible. Finally, Mega Stones introduced in the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC will not be eligible for use.

Rewards​

Reaching Rank S during Ranked Season 3 will reward you with the Chesnaughtite, the Mega Stone that allows Chesnaught to Mega Evolve into Mega Chesnaught.

Previous seasons' rewards are returning as well. At Rank V, players will receive the Delphoxite, and at Rank Y, players will receive the Greninjite. It has been confirmed that each Mega Stone obtainable in Ranked Season 3 is planned to be redistributed as rewards in future seasons.

At the end of the season, additional rewards will be presented to the player depending on their final rank.
