Story Event: Fishing Up a Golden New Year
In this first Story Event for the new year, Lear asks for everyone's help in rounding up some water Pokémon that were accidentally released onto Pasio by Hoopa. Meanwhile, Galar's famous Ball Guy learns about making handcrafted Poké Balls from Akari and Rei together with Furisode Girl Linnea. This event will run through to January 18th, at 9:59pm (PST)

This event follows the simplified format for Story Events, where players will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Players will need to collect a total of 10,000 Event Points for this event in order to receive all possible rewards.

Finishing the Clothes to Remember Forever story stage or earning 500 Event Points in this event will allow players to team-up with an exclusive 3★ Sync Pair, Linnea (Furisode Girl) & Aromatisse, a Fairy-type Tech Role Sync Pair with an expanded sync grid. Additional copies of Linnea (Furisode Girl) & Aromatisse can be unlocked at 1,000, 2,000, and 3,600 Event Points, while 3★ Custom Power-Ups ×20 for them can be unlocked at 1,500 Event Points, and 4★ Custom Power-Ups ×20 can be obtained at 2,300 Event Points.

Other event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Field Move Candy Coin, 5★ Power-Ups, Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feathers 111 and 112, Custom Sync Orbs for Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode and Lana (New Year's 2026) & Dondozo, and Lucky Cookies for Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode, Lana (New Year's 2026) & Dondozo, and Nessa & Drednaw. Players will need to collect a total of 10,000 Event Points for this event in order to receive all possible rewards.

As usual for events of this type, players will receive bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode, Linnea (Furisode Girl) & Aromatisse, and any past New Year's sync pair would grant a combined +140% (×2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.
Special Co-op Event: New Year's Battle

In this latest co-op event, which is running through to January at 9:59pm (PST), Trainers will join together to face off against Lisia & Galarian Rapidash, Victor & Spectrier, and Leon & Calyrex in exclusive co-op battles.

The New Year's Battle stage can only be completed once, while Daily New Year's Battle can, as the name suggests, be attempted once per day for the length of the event. Players will receive Brand New Year Tickets for completing each of these battles, which can be traded for two of each type of Move Candy Coin and Roll Cake Coin, a 5★ Power-Up, and 4★ Level-Up Manuals. Players will also receive Gems as First-Time Rewards for both the New Year's Battle and Daily New Year's Battle battles.

Completing the Daily New Year's Battle 5 times will earn players a total of 5,000 Gems from special missions for this event. An additional 800 Gems, as well as 15 Gym Scout Ticket A, can also be earned from completing both Group and Solo Gym Missions associated with the event.

Players wanting to participate in this event should note the following:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Interlude 1: Let the Tournament Begin! in single-player. This interlude can be completed after players complete Main Story: Chapter 10 in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those which can actually be obtained by players.
  • Players cannot take on this event area with teams comprised of only their own Sync Pairs.
  • Leftover Brand New Year Ticket items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes.

Sygna Suit Ball Guy EX Fair

Galar's Ball Guy debuts his Sygna Suit Sync Pair with Hisuian Electrode in this limited-time EX Fair Scout available in-game now, and running through to January 18th, at 9:59pm (PST).

EX Fair Scouts are effectively the Poké Fair equivalent of the EX Master Fair Scouts, with an offering rate of 2% for the featured Sync Pair, 1% for additional featured 5★ Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs (0.5% each), and 10% for other 5★ Sync Pairs, which may include other Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs. Like with normal Poké Fair Scouts, EX Fair Scouts require 400 scout points before players are able to get a free selection of any one Sync Pair available in the Scout.

The two Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs who will join Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode in this scout are Sygna Suit Leaf & Venusaur, and Milo & Eldegoss.

The Sygna Suit Ball Guy EX Fair includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first twelve times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:

  • 1st-4th Scout: Field Move Candy Coin ×1
  • 5th Scout: Superawakening Candy ×1
  • 6th-9th Scout: Field Move Candy Coin ×2
  • 10th Scout: Superawakening Candy ×1
  • 11th-12th Scout: Field Move Candy Coin ×2
In addition, players who team up with Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode in this scout will also receive Sprint Roll Cake ×4 and 5★ Power-Up ×4 each time they scout the pair, up to 5 times.

MastersEX_SygnaSuitBallGuy_6EX.png
Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode are a 5★ Grass-type Field Role Sync Pair with an unlockable Sprint EX Role and a Superawakening. Raising them to 6★ EX Status changes their outfit from the normal Hisuian Poké Ball inspired design to a Hisuian Great Ball design.

Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode have an incredi-ball set of moves and skills to rapidly set up your team for victory. Between their Galar Rush and MAX Countdown 3 Passive Skills, and their Remarka-ball Fireworks! Status move, they could reduce your team's sync move countdown by 7 within just 2 moves at the start of battle! When they faint, they'll also activate their INCREDIBALL!!! Passive Skill, which among other effects also reduces the sync move countdown by a full 9!

Sygna Suit Ball Guy Gem Emote
A special Gems with Gym Emotes offer is available from the in-game shop alongside the Sygna Suit Ball Guy EX Fair, allowing players to obtain a Sygna Suit Ball Guy Gym Emote as a present. This offer, which comes with 250 paid gems, can be purchased under the With Emotes tab in the Purchase Gems menu of the in-game shop until January 18th, at 9:59pm (PST).

This Mix Scout will remain available until April 30th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Mix Scouts are a form of long term scout, whose lineup will change roughly every six months, allowing players to accrue Scout Points in many scouts over time. The Mix Scout can only be used up to three times a day, one each for each of the following options, which all require Paid Gems:
  • Sync Pair Scout ×1: 100 Paid Gems
  • Sync Pair Scout ×3: 300 Paid Gems

In addition to the featured pair, a wide variety of other 5★ pairs can also be found in the Mix Scout, including several pairs previously exclusive to Costume, Seasonal, and Poké Fair Scouts. The full list of pairs, including their offering rates, can be found in-game.
