Pokémon Masters EX updates to Ver. 2.63.0 — New Neo Champions Event and EX Master Sync Pairs for Hilbert and Hilda previewed

A new version of Pokémon Masters EX, Ver. 2.63.0, is now available to download. With this update, the game's general producer, Tetsuya Iguchi, has also revealed information on the brand new Neo Champions Event commencing tomorrow, featuring two Neo Champion Sync Pairs from Unova, and more information on events and updates coming to the game in the remainder of this month and in early December.

The next producer letter is slated for late December, and will include information about this year's New Year's celebrations.

Update Summary
The full changelog from the Version 2.63.0 update can be read here, while the monthly developer letter can be found here. Below, we've summarized the most notable changes with this update that directly impact the gameplay experience.

Hilda Arrives at the Trainer Lodge
From November 30th at 10:00 pm (PST), players who have teamed up with Hilda & Tepig/Pignite/Emboar will be able to invite Hilda to the Trainer Lodge. This sync pair is available through the permanent sync pair scout pool.

User Interface Changes
Some minor updates have been made to the game's user interface to make it easier to upgrade sync pairs. Players will no longer swap Move Candy Coins or Roll Cake Coins for Move Candy or Roll Cakes on the General tab of the Exchange Items menu. These trades have now been moved to the Level Up Moves screen and Unlock EX Roles screens respectively.

Players can now also check ongoing events as a list from the Event tab of the Missions screen.

Trainer Gym Updates
From November 30th at 10:00 pm (PST), a new season will begin in the Trainer Gym. This season will run through to December 24th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Upcoming Device Requirement Changes
Advance notice has been given for upcoming changes to the minimum requirements for Pokémon Masters EX. From March 26th, 2026, players on iOS devices will need to be on a minimum of iOS 15.0, up from the previous requirement of iOS 12.0. After this change comes into force, the following devices will no longer be able to play Pokémon Masters EX:

• iPad Air (1st generation), released in 2013
• iPad Mini 2, released in 2013
• iPad Mini 3, released in 2014
• iPhone 5s, released in 2013
• iPhone 6, released in 2014
• iPod Touch (6th generation), released in 2015

All iOS and iPadOS devices released after these devices can still be updated to a minimum of iOS/iPadOS 15, and will remain compatible for the foreseeable future.

Delayed Issue Reimbursements
As previously announced, players who used Paid and/or Non-paid Gems in the Triple Feature Master Fair Scout between October 24th and 27th will be receiving reimbursement of these Gems due to an issue with Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo's Sync Grid. This reimbursement, which was originally scheduled to occur alongside at the end of this month, has now been delayed to at earliest the end of January 2026.

Though the update on this issue states that this delay is due to them finding it more difficult to gather data and complete the process than initially expected, we cannot help but cynically note that this means players will not have these Gems available for the numerous Seasonal scouts over the holiday and New Year's period.

New Neo Champions from Unova debut alongside a brand new Neo Champions Event
Two new Neo Champion Sync Pairs will be added to the game over the next few days, alongside a brand new Story Event, Neo Champions: Facing the Future with Fight, commencing November 27th at 10:00pm (PST).

Hilbert (Champion) & Kyurem are an Ice-Type Field Role Sync Pair with a Strike EX Role. Their EX Master Fair Scout will begin on November 27th at 10:00pm (PST), together with the start of the event, and run through to January 6th, 2026, at 9:59pm (PST).

Hilbert and his Shiny White Kyurem are built to rapidly set up the battle to deal heavy ice-type special attack damage. Their Sudden Whiteout Passive Skill creates an EX Ice Zone the first time they use their Noble Roar status move, as well as reducing thier Sync Move countdown by one. This Passive Skill also allows the pair to ignore opponent's Passive Skills that would reduce damage and protect against Critical Hits, as well as the Enduring effect. Their Ultracold Air Passive Skill meanwhile lowers opponents Sp. Def by three stat ranks, and increases Hilbert & Kyurem's Special Moves ↑ Next effect by three ranks whenever their own attacks are successful. In combination with their Absolute Zero Ice Burn Buddy Move, which attacks all opponents and requires no preparation if the Special Moves ↑ Next effect is raised, opponents will struggle to resist their special damage attacks.

Hilda meanwhile will debut her own Neo Champion Sync Pair with Iron Leaves two days later, in a Master Fair Scout starting November 29th at 10:00pm (PST), continuing through to January 6th, 2026, at 9:59pm (PST).

A Psychic-type Strike Role Sync Pair with a Sprint EX Role, Hilda (Champion) & Iron Leaves combos with Sync Pairs that can lay Terrain effects, though they can also lay an Electric Terrain themselves using their Glory of the Burning Fight! Trainer Move. So long as any Terrain effect is in play, their Shining Sword Psyblade Buddy Move is powerd up by 50%, hits all opponents, make them flinch, and reapplies the currently active terrain. A Passive Skill also powers up their Sync Move and protects them critical hits while a Terrain is active.

Other upcoming Updates and Events
While the update notice doesn't provide any information on the inevitable Seasonal Story Event and Scouts coming to the game late next month, several events that should arrive in the first half of December were previewed.

Team up with Sync Pairs with Charizard in December
Three separate Sync Pairs including Charizard will be available in December alongside a Special Co-op Event that will see players taking on Mega Charizard Y in co-op battles. These include:

• Lance & Charizard, a new Variety Sync Pair with the ability to Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard Y
• Sygna Suit Red & Charizard, who all players will be available to obtain via a Guaranteed Ticket Log-In Bonus
• Arc Suit Leon & Charizard, marking the first ever return of an Arc Suit Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair

Get a Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair alongside a New Legendary Gauntlet
Legendary Gauntlet No. 10 will launch on December 4th at 10:00pm (PST), featuring battles with Tapu Bulu, Entei, and Moltres. To assist trainers in taking on this challenge, a one-time-only Scout will be available that allows players to select one Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair. The exact Sync Pairs available through this Scout have not yet been officially revealed.
