Pokemon Movie Casting Call

This popped up on one of the Pokemon LJ communities a while back and it was interesting, so I thought I'd revive it on here. If you were directing a live-action Pokemon movie, who would you cast in the various roles?
Here's my list:

Ash: Haley Joel Osment. He does child star-ness well, and he just seems like a good fit..
Misty: The girl who plays Lucy or whoever the youngest girl is on 7th Heaven.. I don't know her name, but she would work.
Brock: Frankie Muniz. It just seems like a perfect match.
May: Ashlee Simpson. May kinda sucks anyway, IMO... (if you think this will get flamage, just wait till you see who I cast for Domino..)
Madam Boss: Glenn Close. Wouldn't that rock? Especially after seeing her do Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians..
Bashou: Hayden Christensen. Because he's hawt.
Giovanni: For some reason, I've always thought Mel Gibson. Again, one of thse things where it just works, in my mind.
Professor Oak: Burt Reynolds. Commence wincing.
James: Johnny Depp. He can pull off weird.
Domino: Hilary Duff. Now, before the flames start flying, imagine the possibilities. Domino would still have to be cute, and it would certainly pull Hilary Duff out of her Lizzie McGuire hole...
Again, I've always had this cast in my mind.

Thoughts, anyone?
 
Bashou would certainly be interesting to cast, since the Japanese would want a man, while Hun is officially now a woman over here. The easy answer would probably be to not involve him/her. It isn't as if s/he is a main character anyway. (Same with Domino, but she could at least be involved without complicatons.)

It really depends on your plot for the lesser characters that you include.
 
Isn't Haley too old now?

I think the girl who plays Karen in Will and Grace could be good for Jessie ^^. And I think Hugo Weaving would be good for Giovanni, he does sinister well. "Mr. Ketchum, welcome back. I missed you" ^^

Melissa Joan Hart would also be good in that role too, I think. Or Cassidy even. Thinking about this is fun... I have to think of more. XD
 
Nurse Joy: Mandy Moore
May: that girl from the movie Little Secrets...Emma something-or-other...
Officer Jenny: Jennifer Love Hewitt (she's got the name for it!)
Professor Oak: Steve Martin
Giovanni: Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson
Prof. Namba: Willem Dafoe (he played Norman Osborn, aka the Green Goblin in Spider-Man)
Jessie: Lindsay Lohan
Norman or Professor Elm: Tom Hanks
Misty: one of the Olsen twins (or they could split the part like on Full House)

How about, oh, the guy from Lost in Translation as Professor Oak?
Actually, Hilary Duff would be kind of neat as Domino.
As Misty, how about Dakota Fanning? She's about the right age, and could act like her... For Ash, I don't know that many kid actors... -_-
Johnny Depp as James?! He had James hair in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...o_O;; I'd look for someone a bit younger. LMAO, why did Johnny Knoxville pop into my head? Holy crap, put Vince Vaughn in as Giovanni. He's tall and intimidating.

I'm sure I'll be back when I think of what I thought of before...

If I didn't despise Lindsay Lohan, that would be amusing.

Do you think Zach Braff would make a good James? He'd be cute...
And Juliette Lewis would be a good Cassidy, I think.
 
Mario Valdez, in his Saved by the Bell days (he was Slater) would've made a good Brock. Or the guy who played Zack, Mark-Paul Gosselar (sp?). They're too old now though. :p

Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly) would make a good Jenny or Joy though.

As far as casting for Cassidy goes, Jessica Simpson would work.
 
Mmmm...I remember a few years ago, I was watching Bedazzled, and the thought popped into my head that Brendan Fraser could make a really, REALLY good Tracey. 'Cause, you know, in Bedazzled he was such a dork, and he even had Tracey hair. All he needed was a pink headband. ^o^ But really....Brendan Fraser as Tracey. All the way, baby.

Seems pretty obvious who Bruce Willis would be.



But anyway,I usually cringe at the thought of a live action Pokemon movie.So I really don't like to think about it all that much.@_@;
 
C'mon,the guy is screaming Giovanni.:p I didn't even consider Bruce Willis as a Gio before I saw this episode of the Late Show.(and his "Safety Orange" suit... XD)


Honestly,he'd make a perfect Gio.
