"Pokemon Movie the Best 1998-2008" CD coming December 19th

In December, Pikachu Records will be releasing a CD collecting all of the opening and ending theme songs to all eleven of the movies in the Pocket Monsters movie franchise. The CD's coming out on December 19th and will retail for 3,570円 (roughly $35).

I have most of the movie soundtracks, but I still think I'll be picking this up because I'm crazy like that. How about you guys?

I'm not that interested. I'd be more interested if we could get some of the B-sides from over the years. The only reason I'd buy this is to have more flexibility in terms of station programming.

Now, on the English side, I keep meaning to make an article about the "Best Music Money Can't Buy" about the long list of Pokemon songs from 2002-Present you can't buy either on CD or digitally via download-but that's another thread.

I got pretty excited about this when I found out about it a couple hours ago. The vast majority of these songs I only have in MP3 form, so I'll probably buy. Hoping for some cool cover artwork. ;P

But yeah, unreleased BGM would be win.

Because they hate us? Really, the couple BGM soundtracks and handful of BGM tracks on various singles simply aren't enough.

Nope. Like Dogasu said, it's all opening, ending and insert songs from the movies.

Eh? The first one came out after Movie 6, and now the second one's coming out after Movie 11. Of course they're gonna release more to suck the money out of stupid people like me but it ain't that bad.

Although a collection that had just Movies 7-11 probably would have been better... But if that were the case, maybe they would wait for Movie 12 so both the movie compilation soundtracks represented the same amount of movies. And now I'm just rambling for no reason. :x

You can buy (a version of) it on iTunes for 99 cents.

For the season themes, will these be the shortened "movie" versions or the full versions? Also, is it one cd or two?

Are you talking about the version on the "Symphony" CD? Because that's not really a cover, considering its still sung by Sarah Brightman (its just got a different guy)

Considering the song isn't a Sarah Brightman song in the first place, yes, yes, it's still a cover.

According to Pokeani, the CD's been pushed back to March 4th, 2009.

The included tracks look to be the same, so I have no idea why there's a delay.
