It's Show Time!))

A new day was peering over the horizon for the town of Outset. Shops were preparing for the flow of costumers, Pokémon were waking up and getting ready for whatever needs that needs to be done by today.

To the north of town, things are even more sleepier at a strange mountain-looking Guild hut, covered in prayer sutras. Within the Guild's Guildmaster Quarters/Office was a Gardevoir named Zan, raising to meet the sun. This Gardevoir closed its hands together and prayed in an ancient tongue, which caused its body to glow pink with power, the organic tassels that formed Zan's species' "dress" to flutter.

"OI! YOU LAZY BUMS! WAKE UP!" And just like that, the Gardevoir's concentration was disrupted, eyes opening to show a tired and weary look, looking up and wordlessly asked to get strength from the Almighty for this repetitive task. How many times had Zan told that Security Panel part-timer Loudred to stop disrupting his Explorer's sleep? Just because he likes to get up at the crack of dawn doesn't mean he should go out of his way to wake everyone else up.

"Oh shut the hell up, Frank!" A cranky yell retorted, getting irritated agreements.

"Tch, no respect..." Frank grumbled.

Reginald smiled as he looked at a Explorer Guild recruitment banner. He had found the banner from this Braixen who was passing out flyers for her guild. The banner had the typical recruitment spiel, plus the directions to the Guild.

"Well, I'm glad the owner of the guild isn't the typical egocentric type, design-wise." Reginald looked to his side and noted a Froakie hopping past, holding onto a copy of the recruitment banner he also had.

Tathamet quietly growled in annoyance, slowly blinking her exhaustion away. As with every morning, her ears were ringing. And the Charmeleon knew for a fact that the other members of Team Mean Machine felt the same about it. Seperate groans from Clay and Zeta only further confirmed the assumption. "One of these days, I'm gonna give that damn Loudred a piece of my mind.." She muttered, getting to her feet.

A Hawlucha slowed to a stop off to the side of the guild's entrance, gazing up at it in amazement. Tanczi glanced back down at the recruitment banner in his claws. "Today's the day, huh?"

A little ways behind the slowly-accumulating group, stood a Cubone, She held the recruitment banner in one hand, the other holding a club of bone marrow. Kurumi timidly looked up to the guild, wanting to shrink into her skull's comfort. "It's..overwhelming," she muttered to herself.

"Because who needs sleep, right?"

The Elgyem rubbed his eyes wearily, sarcastically muttering to himself as he rose to his feet. He looked over to his sleeping Swadloon friend, Joshua's eyes only half-open. From the look on his face, it seemed he was contemplating ignoring the Loudred and going straight back to sleep.

"Morning, sleepy-heads!" Celine said cheerfully. Unlike the others, she had been awake all morning, and had no issues at all with Frank's morning routine. "Guess what today is?"

"Uhh, is it wake-up-too-early day?" The Elgyem said groggily.

"No, it's the recruitment drive today!" Celine replied, giving her teammate a tut for his lack of enthusiasm. "Come on, we've gotta make ourselves presentable! We've got to look good in front of the new recruits!"

"I suppose she has a point..." Joshua said finally, stretching wide and yawning. "Come on, guys, let's get ready. Going to be busy today, might as well get a head-start on things."

Meanwhile, just outside of town, a small figure began to approach the city. As close to the earth as it was, it was difficult to make out, the Kabuto blending in perfectly with the dirt path.

"Step, step, step, step, twig, rock, step, step..." the young one muttered to himself, his reddish eyes scanning along the ground. After walking for a short distance, he looked up, seeing the signs of civilization all around him.

"Town!" he exclaimed happily, rushing into the city without a care. A town meant people, and people meant businesses, and businesses meant food!

It was another new day for the folk of Outset. The sun was rising and it seemed as if the town was already bustling with activity. You could hear the sounds of Pokemon all over town, particularly the loud booming voice of a Gardevior, the guildmaster. One particular duo was eager to check out the Outset Guild, both of them setting out on a journey to join this guild.

"C'mon, c'mon! Its this way!" a young Chespin said as he ran ahead of his friend. The young Chespin, Chip, held onto a flyer he received from a Braixen. He was probably a good several feet ahead of his Cyndaquil friend, Hunter.

"I'm coming, I'm coming , okay?" Hunter spoke up with a bit of a sigh as he followed the cheery, childish Chespin.

Tanczi was momentarily broken out of his reverie at the sound of the Kabuto's disjointed speech pattern. "You uh, okay kid?" He asked, turning around to glance down at him.

"Hm?" the Kabuto said, looking up at the Hawlucha momentarily. "Good morning!" he greeted. "Nami is okay. Nami is very okay." He glanced around, looking for a place to get soomething to east. "Does feathered friend know where Nami can get food?"

"I'm finally here," a small Torchic called out with a loud sigh of relief as he walked into the town, he was wearing a really small bag around his back and seemed to barely be able to stand. 'So this is Outset," he stated as he looked ahead at the town, having heard that the guild in Outset was recruiting. Nervousness began hitting him, but he couldn't allow it to get the best of him, not when he had come so close. 'All right, time to go in," he told himself as he began walking forward, only to see a Hawlucha and a Kabuto talking by the entrance.

"Excuse me, are you guys going to join the Guild too?" he asked curiously, staring at the Hawlucha for a moment.

As Chip ran onwards, he spotted a small group of Pokemon, just by the guild. He smiled as he ran up to them, skidding to the stop before waving to them.

"Hiya! Are you all going to join the guild!? Its been a dream of mine to join ever since I was little!" He said out loud with a cheeky smile spread across his face.

It was a few moments before Hunter caught up with his friend, softly panting as he reached the Chespin. "Chip...Can you PLEASE not..." he muttered with a deep sigh. Sometimes he had trouble keeping up with the Chespin.

"I uh.. I have no idea. I don't live here, sorry buddy." Tanczi answered Nami, then turned to Scruffy and nodded, waving the recruitment banner around for good measure. "You betcha."

"Oh, awesome," Scruffy pointed out, a bit overwhelm with Chip's appearance as he finally realized the crowd that was gathering ahead. He looked towards Nami. "Well if you want food," he opened his bag with his beak for a moment as he slid it off from around his neck, only to dig into it and pick out an oran berry. 'Here you go."

"Guild? What is this guild?" Nami asked, puzzled. "Does guild have food? Nami is very hungry. Nami did not eat breakfast. Too busy travelling!"

Suddenly, the Torchic offered an oran berry to the Kabuto. He gasped in delight, bowing humbly and taking the berry. "Thank you! Orange feathered friend is friend!"

Chip seemed relatively comfortable in this crowd of Pokemon, though Hunter seemed to keep his distance just a tad. He was more comfortable with smaller groups than this.

"My names Chip, by the way! New explorer-extraordinare ready to go!" He said, puffing out his chest and placing his hands on his hips. He seemed a bit confident. His friend's confidence was more hidden, as he was more reserved than the Chespin. "What about you all!?"

"Don't get too cocky. Heh..." Hunter teased the Chespin

Seeing Nami offered the Oran Berry only served as a reminder of his own hunger, given that he hadn't eaten last night (nor that morning, for that matter). He brushed it off however, and turned his attention to the arrivals. "My name's Tanczi, nice to meetcha."

"Scruff-ee" Nami said to himself, learning to pronounce the Torchic's name. "Nami thanks Scruffy for berry!"

The Kabuto's eyes went wide at the mention of adventurers. "Guild has adventurers?" he asked. "Does guild have.... explorers?"

"Nice to meet you!" Chip said. Chip smiled at the greetings he received, though he had to give his partner a gentle nudge. He was usually the more quiet one of the pair of Pokemon.

"Oh. Right...I'm Hunter." the Cynydaquil introduced himself, rubbing his head a bit.

Chip was very interested in the explorer occupation and he was quick to jump into the conversation. "Me too!" he said, in response to Scruffy. "I'll be the best explorer there ever was!" he said, which earned a bit of a head shake of disapproval from Hunter.

"Well, someone's eager." Came a voice on top of Chip. A Froakie had somehow managed to get onto Chip's head without letting anyone else know, much less the exuberant Grass-type. "Well, if we're introducing, my name's Shiina."

Regulus walked right pass the group, heading for the Guild. 'Wonder what's the hold up with them?' He thought to himself.

---

Dante groaned as he shuffled to the cafeteria. Since he was up by Sir Shouts-a-lot, might as well do something beside going back to sleep in spite, something that Richy had decided to do.

"Wonder how long it's going to take for Frank to take the message that his shouts are not needed?" Dante groaned out. "Try never. I know his type: stubborn to a fault." Was the reply of the Cook, Bajie, who had a score of food ready for the morning birds.

Bajie always woke up a lot earlier than Frank did, but that's mainly because of his job.

"You're sure it was today?"
"Yes! It's today!"
A pair of new voices began to drift up the hill, then the owners popped into view of the others.
"I'm just making sure, 'cause I'm pretty sure the flyer said next week." An Elekid was saying to a Buizel who appeared to be growing more and more irritated.
"THE FLYER SAID TODAY OK!? Look, more Pokemon, let's see if they know." The Buizel said as he noticed the group ahead and ran up to them. "Hey, you guys are here to join the guild right? That's today isn't it?"

Nami became even more giddy at the mention of exploring. He didn't know much of this place or it's inhabitants, be he had met with an explorer before, and the Kabuto had been enamored with his profession ever since. Tales of adventure, friendship, treasure... it all sounded so appealing. "So friends go to guild to become explorers?" he asked, suddenly growing very happy. "Nami wants to become explorer! Nami wants to join guild!"

~~

"I don't mind him waking us up... I just wish it wasn't so sudden and loud..." Joshua said to Dante, overhearing his conversation as he prepared his breakfast meal. "If he just gently nudged us awake, I'd be far more grateful and far less... startled..."
