Today seems to be just like any other day. The sun is shining, bird pokemon are flying and pokemon battles go on like normal. Except one thing is missing, EVERY SINGLE HUMAN ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET! Traces of the people still remain, such as empty cars, abandoned buildings and all technology up until the time frame of Black and White but there are no pokemon trainers anywhere to be found.

Immediately pokemon around the globe begin to come up with theories as to what has happened: Could they have been turned into zombies? Did they have to suddenly flee the earth and go into space? Maybe they all turned into candy and got eaten? Could it be that they all have gone inside the dream of dream and are trapped? No pokemon knows for sure. One would think that this new world without humans would be paradise but it turns out to be much more similar to a kind of apocalypse.

Food marts are looted, buildings are destroyed for no reason and pokemon take over territory all over the place. The only sanctuary recognized by all sides are pokemon centers. Even though most of them quickly get run down due to lack of maintenance, the centers are practically the only places around where battling is discouraged. Pokemon gyms which were once a symbol of excellence become hot spots for conflict, as powerful pokemon try to take the structures over for themselves. In some towns, gangs of pokemon roam the streets looking for others to fight with. The pokemon world has become a free for all and everyone is invited, whether they want to be or not.

A few days into the madness a rumor or perhaps a myth, starts spreading that there might be a way to bring the humans back and return things to the way they used to be. However, some pokemon like things as they are and will do anything to make sure that humanity does not come back..


RULES:
No excessive godmoding
No controlling other players without permission
If battling another player, no automatic hitting
Side stories are encouraged
Non player characters may be controlled by anyone temporarily
Each character is free to pursue the mystery in their own way or to even ignore the larger plot all together and do something else. (like just staying alive)
No fighting allowed inside of pokemon centers

Name: Lydia
Gender: Female
Pokemon age: 13
Species: Dratini
Appearance: The only difference between her and her species standard is a Pokeball designed bandanna that she wears around her neck (don't ask how she ties it). It used to belong to her trainer.
History: Lydia was born in the Unova region and was raised by a Pokemon trainer. Her mother, a Dragonite which was the strongest and lead Pokemon of the team, guided her through some of her training. Some time later, Lydia had her first Gym battle, and just barely won. The day afterwards, her Trainer, along with the other humans disappeared. All that was left of her trainer was a Pokeball designed bandanna, and she kept it for when she finds her trainer. While Lydia, her mother, and the rest of her team searched, an incident occurred that caused all of them to be separated. Now, she has to find both her trainer AND her team.

Name: Autumn
Gender: Female
Pokemon age: 18
Species: Eevee
Appearance: Eevee eyes are always brown in color. That is still true with Autumn except at night, her eyes turn into a more purplish color and very rarely can even seem to sparkle in the night. Everything else is normal
History: Autumn was born in Greenfield which has been said to be one of the most beautiful places in the entire Johto region. Raised by her mother Umbreon and father Flareon, she grew so far to be a very beautiful sweet loving eevee. They named her Autumn mostly because of how beautiful Greenfield really is during that season. Her parents were trainer free. They never belonged to a pokemon trainer ever in their life. Therefore, Autumn was also never owned by trainers. Greenfield is not a no pokemon capture zone, but trainers seem to respect not catching pokemon from such a beautiful place, even tho their is no real sign, rule, law, etc. that tells them otherwise.

Autumn's personality of her being very sweet ended up her being used rather than thanked by other pokemon who are not her family or friends. After she grew to be thirteen years old and further, the guys definitely took advantage over her sweet nature and used her for their own pleasure. It took Autumn quiet a bit of time to realize what was happening during those times. Sadly, she learned to late. The guys engraved her mind with thoughts, pleasures, and actions of the two, that normally would have other pokemon disturbed if they found out about Autumn's secret corrupted personality. Even with Autumn's unfortunate experiences with the guys, she remains to be very sweet but tends every now and then to want to redo her experiences she had felt back then, with other suitable guys.

She had turned eighteen very recently, and now has started to hear from pokemon that something has happen to all the humans. For Autumn, the disappearance of the humans hardly effected her, do to the fact the she was born a free pokemon, without ever being owned. Her family recently has also disappeared along the same time the humans did. Autumn sad by this news, makes the choice to find out what exactly happen to the humans, in hope that she will find answers on the where abouts on her missing parents.


I read the rules and did not see any special word or phrase to say in my sign up, so I suppose my sign up is complete. :)
 
Name: Journey
Gender: Female
Pokemon age: 14
Species: Girafarig
Appearance: Journey is a bit smaller than most Girafarig. The yellow part of her body also seems to be a little lighter than usual.
History: Journey was born in the Johto Safari Zone. She grew up with a herd of other Girafarig. She got seperated from the others when she got caught by a trainer named Josh. At first she was afraid, but after she had won her first gym battle in the Olivine City Gym, with help of Josh, she knew she could count on him.
When Journey was with Josh, her best friends were a Gligar and a Misdreavus. Gligar always knew how to make her smile and was always very protective about her. This way he made her feel a lot better, especially in the beginning, when she was very afraid. Misdreavus on the other hand, was a very serious pokémon. She always knew what to do, which made Journey feel safe.
 
Name: Omega

Gender: Male

Pokemon age: 11

Species: Emolga

Appearance: Omega looks like every other Emolga in every way except one. He has a star shaped birth mark on his stomach.

History:
Omega was born in a regular forest in Unova. His father had been poached and his mother died while giving birth to him. Nearby, a tribe of Pachirisu lived, along with the Emolga tribe. The Emolga tribe was never told the sad truth. A Pachirisu couple visiting the Emolga tribe saw the orphan Pokemon, and decided to adopt him. Omega knows every Pachirisu tradition, but he is never told that he was adopted. Anyone that tells him so will be punished. Omega sometimes feels that being different looking and being smaller is very weird. When he turned 8, he went to the Emolga tribe. There he saw that everyone looked like him. they spoke the same way, they could fly, they were similar to him in a lot of ways. Then he asked an old Emolga, "Are you a Pachirisu too?" to which the old Pokemon replied, "No son, we are all Emolga. Including you."

From that day on, Omega's life was changed forever. There was a human settlement nearby, and Omega made friends with a human named Alan. He was so close to him that he decided to be in his team without him capturing him in a Pokeball, due to Omega being Claustrophobic. But Alan said that he would only allow him to join if he could beat him in a Pokemon Battle. Omega agreed and defeated all 4 of Alan's Pokemon, which were a Pachirisu, Plusle, Minun, and a Pikachu. One day, while the Pokemon were outside in the yard of Alan's house, they heard a scream from inside, "HELP ME POKEMOOOOOON!" As soon as the team got in, all they saw was an empty house with no sign of Alan....

From that day on, the 5 Electric Pokemon have been searching for Alan since then...

How are ghost 'mons overpowered? Perhaps in their ability to possess stuff (which only really works for the ones who aren't possessing stuff like Golett)? And how is this a PMD game? And what region is this taking place in?

Gender: Male
Age: 30
Species: Lucario
Appearance: Mostly like a normal Lucario, except the metal spikes are chipped.
History: Lief is the leader of a tribe of Riolu living in the mountains. He allowed trainers who he deemed worthy to capture a Riolu and take it with them on their journey. This, obviously, all changed when the humans disappeared.
He began searching for a way to bring the humans back, leaving the eldest Riolu in charge. After all, a Riolu needed to form strong bonds with a human in order to evolve, which obviously couldn't happen if there were no humans, and the Riolus would be driven to extinction if they couldn't evolve. His search has led him here...

The ghost types ability to walk through walls kind of cancels out any sense of danger, although it could make a neat idea for a future RP. PMD because everyone will be playing the roles of pokemon. The game region will be dependent on how many players join. (mysterious hint)

Name: Stacey

Gender: Male

Pokemon Age: 17

Species: Gothita

Appearance: He looks like a normal Gothita, but he wears a large, black top hat to try to cover the bows on his head. (He got it from the Pokemon Musical)

History: Stacey was born on Route 5 in Unova, but he was not really happy there because most of the Pokemon confused his gender. But it mostly changed when he was caught by Skeet. Skeet mostly used him in the Pokemon Musical, and while most people and Pokemon still confused his gender, it gave him something to do, and he got to know some of the Pokemon who were commonly there. He was having a good time, and he started to respect his trainer. But that all changed when the humans disappeared.

After the humans disappeared, he and the Pokemon he met at the Pokemon Musical parted ways. He tried to live in the Pokemon Musical building, but it soon was too deteriorated to live in. He soon found himself living on the streets with nothing to eat, or any form of currency. He tried to do small performances to get by, as he was not really strong enough to fight the other Pokemon who took over the places with food, but he soon found that it was not working. He ended up resorting to conning Pokemon to get food. He hated living like this, and he hated conning Pokemon, so he resolved to try to get the humans back.

Appearance:Like a normal Bisharp except his red coloring is black and wears a red scarf
History:He was recently captured by a human so he has little to no love for them, he only wants them back so other Pokemon can have their friends back.
His trainer gave him the scarf to make up for the fact he had no red, he liked it so he kept it.
He was born in the Unova region, he left his family when he evolved.
His trainer was the only trainer to defeat him, and he has a propensity to run if he sees a human, he hates the ability arena trap.

Oh and just a question, since Omega AND the rest of Alan's team are searching, does that mean that the rest of the Electric types are also in the RPG or what?

Interesting point, if this were anything but a pokemon RP I would say that the others would need sign ups but given the usual 6 team format, I think that his teammates will be fine as npc's for the very start of the RP. You could have Omega keep them around longer than that but they would need to be much weaker than him due to them not being main characters. You could also say that Alans team decided to split up when they began searching.

Oh yeah, I had another question...for the no automatic hitting rule, does this still apply if the 'mon uses an auto-hit move, such as Aura Sphere or Shadow Punch? Or would they just be harder to dodge?
 
Well, somehow they can be dodged in the anime so I will say yes, BUT doing so would be considered hard. Although if one of the pokemon is a non player character or something not controlled by another person then auto hitting is totally allowed.
