The attacks in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon have dramatically different stats than the attacks in the regular game, even though they share the same name.

How should this be dealt with?

Should it be mentioned as a an addeum to the attack or should we start a new movedex?

What about attacks, like Vacuum Cut, that are Pokemon Mystery Dungeon exclusive?

In the first two Mystery Dungeons (not sure about the sequels), it is possible for a Pokémon to have the same attack listed twice, as well. Something the main series doesn't do.

This doesn't answer my question.

Also Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time will not allow you to have the same attack listed more than once.

Perhaps a Mystery Dungeon section can be added to each of the moves pages. It will outline the differences. I guess exclusive moves can get their own page...

MD has completely different stats, such as targeting, area of effect, even base power, PP, accuracy, critical rate, and side effects (Crunch in G3 lowered SDef, but Crunch in MDG3 was basically a more powerful Bite - both G4 and MDG4 lowered Def).

Not to mention that move list compatibility may be different (Dive in MDG4 is, of course, different from G4, as it's a TM move in MDG4).

Not to mention the differences in speed mechanic, status effects, flags (affected by Ginseng, etc.) and so on.

Also of note, abilities are also different (Intimidate cuts all physical attacks to 80% instead of lowering Att, for example)

So should these differences be listed on the specified pages, or is a whole slew of new pages going to have to be created?

Disagree. There's not enough information to warrent a full article so it makes more sense to just have a section in the existing move articles.

If anyone wants to prove me wrong, have a go at expanding the articles for the MD-exclusive moves. Otherwise, I think we'll need to merge those into one article.
