Dengeki Online has confirmed that a sequel to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (ポケモン不思議のダンジョン), which sold over 5.5 million copies worldwide, is in the works and will be available in two versions for the Nintendo DS. To celebrate this announcement, the anime adaptation of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate, is now being streamed over the Internet by Yahoo! Kids in Japan.

Wow, streaming over the internet? You have to wonder if they're going to be doing more of this sort of thing in the near future and if so, are they aware of the fairly significant cost of streaming things.

Nice, but too soon, perhaps. They'd have to manipulate the story in such a way that it makes it seem almost necessary to have a sequel straight away. So whatever that may be, I'd vouch for something much more engaging.

But that's not the issue here...

Just so long as I can still use Magikarp to kill any and every legendary, I have no qualms. Well, I never actually did this but ideally I could have. Still, I much rather enjoy playing with Pokemon that nobody cares about, and turnabout is fair play. Maybe it's not realistic, but it's just a cartoon anyway.

I really doubt Yahoo is bothered by the cost of internet streaming.

Interesting points about the Japanese dub:
There are some familiar names in the cast, but none of the main stars - not even Ikue Ohtani.
The credits also reveal that the music is not by Shinji Miyazaki after all.
Zenigame's choice of first person pronoun is oira... hmmm.

I don't believe there is any precedent to CoroCoro hinting at the announcement of a game in a following issue, with another magazine promptly beating it to the horse. Although there is still nothing concrete, Dengeki Online's outline of the games already renders CoroCoro too late.

This could suggest that in addition to preliminary coverage of the two Mystery Dungeon versions, another game will actually be revealed in next month's CoroCoro issue.

It would've been hilarious to hear Ikue Ohtani voicing Pikachu with a real voice instead of just Pika pika pika. I would go insane if I had her job.

I can't get the Yahoo Site to work...darn :(

EDIT: And the Ekans mistake is in the japanese as well?

I KNEW IT!

Seriously after that Ekans says "Gee! Thanks alot!" like he was upset that Gengar called him the wrong name, what does he say in the Japanese version? I thought it might of been a joke that didn't translate well.

Well, did you hear "Aaboku"?

If the errors were in the Japanese one, why did PUSA change it?

Guess they used the first version.

It's not just said, it's even printed in the credits as Arbok.

I want to know what Ekans (in the Japanese version) said after Gengar said Arbok.

In the dub, it sounded like he was almost mad at Gengar for saying "Arbok"...
