On the outskirts of the lovely Spring Town stood a large castle, proudly overlooking the town as its walls covered everything that was on the other side. This castle was the base of the Star Ravers, one of the biggest Dungeon Hunting bases around, with many different fields for Pokemon to enjoy and make use of.
Standing in front of the castle was a huge crowd of Pokemon, all hopeful applicants that wished to become part of the new Star Ravers team that would be picked out that very day.
Sal stood among them, the Charmeleon looking around at his competition curiously as he tugged on the pouch that he had strapped around his shoulder. “Looks like it’s not going to be easy to make it in,” he muttered to himself before looking up at the castle, a sense of admiration and nervousness growing in him. “This is my chance to show the world what I’ve got, I won’t waste it,” he replied with a serous expression.

Overlooking the front yard from the highest tower of the castle were the other members of the Star Ravers, each of them scanning the applicants thoroughly. “Seems like we’ve got a lot of applicants this time around huh?” One of the members, a Talonflame spoke, a smirk crossing his face.
His beak had a scar on the left side and it seemed like his right eye had been ripped out due to the large scar that was in its place. “I’m more curious on whether there’s anyone there that can give me a good fight myself,” the flying type turned around to look at the Infernape that had walked from behind him, who in turn seemed to be really confident and eager at the sight of the rookies.
“You’ve always been hotheaded Apollo,” the Talonflame sighed with annoyance. “These kids all think they’ve got a shot, boy are they in for a surprise.”
“You say that but in reality you’re just worried about retiring, aren’t you Icarus?” came the calm and chiming voice of the Gardevoir that stood by the wall, her eyes closed as she stared up at the roof. “Master says that it’s time for us to train new people to take our place, and I can feel it…our successors are amongst this people.”
“I hate you and your habit of appearing out of the blue Minerva,” The Talonflame groaned with disdain towards the psychic type.
“Speaking of, where are the old fart, Charon and Ber?” Apollo asked curiously.
“The Master is resting right now,” Minerva replied silently. “Charon is in charge of starting the event in a few minutes and Ber said he didn’t really care about it and that he’ll just be lounging around the area while the test happens.”
