Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: The Series?

Do you think Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon should be made into a TV series?

Back in 2006, a one-time special was shown on Cartoon Network: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate! It was shown only a few times, then disappeared completely. However, in 2008, it was shown once more, and a sequel was shown at the same time, based on Explorers of Time and Darkness, which was also the title. Thanks to Bulbapedia and its smart editors, I am now aware of a third in the series, Explorers of Sky.
I think this should be made into a small TV series, similar to Pokemon Chronicles. Maybe, if we get enough requests, they will have a TV series! Who's with me?

I think the concept's interesting enough to at least give it a chance. So I'd be willing to watch for a few episodes to see how it goes.

Get people with talent for the roles and we'll discuss. Beyond that, the concept is interesting enough, though I've never been much of a MD fan.

YEAH! At least the first mystery dungeon, you know the blue and red rescue team. I always have it found a pity that there was only one episode. I don't giva a fuck about the second md special however. PMD2 was a bad game compared to the first one anyway.

I'd think it will be cool. It just depends on how the plot will be handled for me

I just want the franchise to have more than one anime series.

Ones based off Mystery Dungeon, Rangers, Special, and other manga would be awesome

WHAT?! PMD2 had a better storyline than PMD!

anyway, I would LOVE an Anime series of this!

No freagin way. It was just a recycled PMD1, human being a pokémon, world going down, main character almost gone but back eventually. Team skull basically was team meanies, and I don't see the whole point of the guild either. Grovyle and dusknoir were nice additions but that's the only thing. Also the ending was just a rip-off from PMD1 (and the pmd1 one was better). I did like PMD2, but it was about the same as PMD1, only worse. They should've put more original concepts in it, instead of recycling the old ones (ranger2 did a really good job with that).

You know you can argue that with ALL Pokemon games.....

Which you can get here, btw. :D

True, but MD2 had much better writing and the emotional punch that MD1 for the most part lacked. Plus the guild was hilarious; one of my favorite parts was when they tested the player under the guise of the greatest terror of the universe or something like that. XD Plus MD1 lacked
time travel and Primal Dialga.

Also, I liked MD2's ending better because I had the impression from Ginji's Rescue Team that the PC in MD1 was a kid with a life somewhere... if that's the case, then MD1 sets it up so that they completely vanish from their real life they'll never remember in favor of a new one. In MD2, the PC wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the ending, not to mention their original life was awful in the first place. Plus it had the narm of Dialga being serious with its "I'm going to be a literal dues ex machina now" monologue IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS, which was hilarious.
No, I don't know why I'm spoiler-marking things everyone already knows or doesn't care about either.

But yeah, both Mystery Dungeons games should have been full-on mini-series, as should many of the more recent spin-off games: Ranger games, Colosseum, XD, maybe a couple others. It's really a shame they didn't. Maybe with the set of games (which you can purchase in stores; they don't seem to care for the WiiWare games that much). Hey, at least we got a conclusion to the MD2 story with the Sky special... although I'm going to hold judgement on that until I actually see it.

I never saw the first PMD shows, but some more would be nice. Not to many though, as I think the idea would get old after a while (how many times can you watch a group of pokemon walk around and save other pokemon?). Maybe a mini-series would be the best way.

The original Japanese was good. They transitioned that one sad piece of music quite well from the games to the special.

Really, seeing the more recent special made me wish for a proper series. I mean, you can argue that the games recycled the same story, but that is also what makes the series unique from the other games. The main characters aren't human, they're Pokemon. And there is just so much potential for crazy things to happen when it comes to that (I would've enjoyed seeing Wigglytuff and his Perfect Apples, but for the love of God, he needs a different voice in the dub).

I was talking about the third TV special, not the game. Although, I haven't played the PMD games yet. Are they like this format? (see below)

Turn 1. Action 1. Torchic moved 5 spaces forward.
Action 2. Marshtomp moved 3 spaces to the right.
Action 3. An enemy Beedrill appeared!
~End of Turn 1~
Turn 2. Action 1. Torchic used Ember on Beedrill! (50 damage to Beedrill)
Action 3. Beedrill used Poison Sting on Marshtomp! (20 damage to Marshtomp)
Action 4. Marshtomp used Hydro Pump on Beedrill! (25 damage to Beedrill)
Action 5. Beedrill fainted!
Action 6. Marshtomp gained 58 experience points!
Action 7. Torchic gained 89 experience points!
Action 8. Torchic grew to level 14!
~End of Turn 2~
... and so on and so forth?

It has no effect on Brick Wall...

Yes, if we're thinking of the same thing, I love that piece. :3

Which you get if you pre-order the game from Gamestop. :p

Someone has got to update Bulbanews with that.

Pretty much. Your opponent makes an action (moves a pace, uses an attack, etc.) every time you do. It goes really fast. It can be tedious and a lot of people don't like the series because of it (and your having to re-start from either the start of the dungeon or a savepoint and losing half your items when you lose) but I'm rather fond of it

I would like it, but there must not be too many episodes. That would do the story no good. I only want the series because the story line of PMD is just too good. You can complain about it, but I will stick to my opinion. If ther comes a series: FUCKING AAWWEESSOOMMEE

Maybe a gag series.

It's fun to watch, since it didn't use the same old Ash and gang formula. I'm willing to watch more episode :)
