Pokemon names for your pets

No matter if you have a pet or not: Would you give them a Pokemon's name?
If so, what name would you choose and why?
Or maybe you have a pet and already named it after your favorite Pokemon?

Unfortunately, I myself don't have any pet, but I'd love to have a German shepherd dog and I'm definitely going to buy one later on. I always wanted to have a "real-life"-Pokemon and that beautiful, powerful dog is really a worthy substitute for Pokemon, which, of course, can't be found here on earth ^^)

It is a highly intelligent breed and as such, needs a great deal of mental stimulation. Obedience classes will be enjoyed by the GSD and he should prove to be a stellar pupil. This dog is eager to learn and very responsive to training, especially voice commands given with the appropriate intonation
--> perfect "Pokemon" isn't it? :D

Anyways, I've already decided on a name: I'm gonna call my dog
RAIKOU, as tribute to one of the most impressive dogs of all dog-like Pokemon

I don't know if it counts, but I've considered naming pets after human characters from the pokemon anime.

I used to have a pet mouse, and I named him Attila after one of the Team Rocket members in the Legend of Thunder dub.

And just the other day I decided that if I ever get another cat, I'm going to name him Saturn. :P See icon.

Also, I LOVE GERMAN SHEPHERDS TOO! It's my dream to one day share my life with one of those wonderful, beautiful dogs. I have been researching rescue organizations and plan to adopt when I am out of college. :)
 
I plan to buy a fennec fox when I am in (or out, depending on circumstances) of medical school, and name it Eevee, unless my future wife has some kind of major objection to that.
 
I have a Dog named Finn. Not named after the Pokemon Finneon, but I can pretend he is.


I named a fish Goldeen, because i forgot about it and it died.
 
At the moment, no. But if I ever get a dog that looks similar to an Eevee (or a fennec fox like Sleet suggested), I'll probably call it Eevee. Or if I get a big pure white dog, I'll call it Soru (based off of Abusoru, Absol's Japanese name, as well as a fan fic character).

It died within four days.
 
I have 3 German Shepherds 8D
...But none of them have pokemon nicknames. If it were up to me though, I would have named my oldest one Luna but nooooo, she already had a name. So instead, I always try to get a female Umbreon in my games so I can name her Luna instead.

I'd love a fennec fox though. I'd name it Eevee in a heartbeat.
 
I love, love, love animals. ♥ Sometimes I love them more than people, haha. I think that's really sweet! I do hope you get your Raikou someday soon. :D

Me... the only animal I'd name after a pokémon is a fish. So maybe if I get a new goldfish I'll consider it, but it's never really been my thing.

Kidding, but that sucks. D: I'm sorry. When my first fish died, I cried. And I was like seventeen. ... /lame
 
Well I already have a dog who is not named after a Pokemon. But if I were to get a cat I'd probably name it Glameow because that's my favorite cat Pokemon next to Meowth.
 
I would usually name my pets after Sailor Moon characters, as well as I'm naming my Pokemon in my current game. However, I would name a kitty Glameow, , another Meowth, not Pikachu, as Pikachu's a mouselol, however, a black kitty Onix, and I would definitely have one named Brock.
 
My cat´s name is Kenny, yet he doesn´t have any childhood rivals. At least no rivals that I know about.
The name is based on South Park´s Kenny anyway ( and he´s as old as the show ^^ ), being a cat, having multiple lifes,...you get the joke.

I don´t know a fitting Pokémon name as I think cat-pokémon names are way too boring for a real life cat imo.
Maaaaybe....ehm...Schlapor? No...can´t think of a good one.
 
Almost a decade ago, my family took care of a little kitten for about a day. We named it Meowth, and maybe we would've kept if not for it's real owners coming back for it the next day.
After that, none of my cats or my dog have been named after Pokemon. Though I too hope to get a fennec fox one day, not only because it's my favorite animal, but also because of naming it Eevee. Or, if possible, a red fox to name Vulpix.
 
If I got a cat, I'd definitely name it Nyasu ^^

My pet T-Rex (which I built) was called Lizardon. And when it broke (and I bought a new one :-p) I called it Hitokage XD
 
I had a German Shepard named Zelda, not a Pokémon name, but videogame based. Although none of my cats are named after Pokémon, I sometimes refer to them as Skitty or Mew.
 
Uh, our pets aren't named after pokemon, but our friends has a snake called ekans-and if I ever get a parrot, it is gonna be called chatot.
