Just a thread to share the nicknames we give to our Pokemon.

What is/are the most creative nickname/s you've ever given (or you've seen/heard someone else give) to a Pokemon? And how/why did you choose that nickname? Did you name it after a friend? After the Pokemon's characteristics? Or you came up with something utterly random?

How about least creative/overused/too mainstream (in a way)? Like, for a lot of Electric types, they get names like "Sparky", "Spark", stuff like that a bit too often, in my opinion. What do you guys think?

The most creative names, um. Well, I named my Panpour, Ookrina. Which is a combination between Ook the sound monkey's make and an anagram of rain. I'm sure there are more but I can't think of any others right now.

Creative maybe these guys:

Angel the Dunsparce- something about her was angelic to me
Sailor the Ampharos- reminded me of a sailor because of the lighthouse in olivine
Poseidon the Simipour- God of water, is a water type
Raptor the Archeops- something about him is raptorish, and he is prehistoric
Acro the Archen- because he can perform acrobatics
Kunoichi the Samurott- she just made me think of ninjas and a Kunoichi is a female ninja
Ballista the Tirtouga- just popped into my mind
Kitkat the Butterfree- I somehow derived it from caterpie
Arrow the Fearow- the beak reminds me of an arrow
Karoshi the Gyarados- Karoshi means death from overwork in Japanese
Magnum the Shiny Excadrill- because of his color

Not sure if these are creative, but I tried:
Ruby the Red Gyarados- I think that's obvious
Zoltsion the Zekrom- I was thinking of his name and type
Comrade the Stoutland- I was thinking how comrade can mean friend and dogs are friends for life
Pharoah the Cofarigus- base on a Pharoah's coffin
Emerald the Serperior- he's green like emeralds

These might be cliche:
Volt the Raichu
Blaze the Flareon

And these are pokemon whose names came from their names (some are derived from their Japanese names):
Squirt the Blastoise
Cucube the Marowak
Digd the Dugtrio
Todo the Totodile
Slash the Sandslash
Togato the Togekiss
Poka the Tepig (Pokabu in Japanese)
Yanna the Pansage (Yanappu in Japanese)
Zorro the Zorua
Thor the Throh- also was thinking of the Norse God Thor

That's all I can think of right now
