That's pretty neat, but there are so many closet gamers that it is weird.. I mean, if a person isn't embarrassed to love Mario, Ape Escape, or Kirby, then why not pokemon since they have the same demographic. (Probably even can argue Rockman in the same demographic)

I'd also think there'd be more people with nostalgia for pokemon since some kids now have that developed for PS1 and N64 games.

It's weird though, I know it can't be me, but it feels like NOA has advertised this game significantly less than last gen's Ruby and Sapphire.
 
I've seen more advertisement if you ask me, as well as a spike in toys, cards, and other things since PUSA took over the anime.
 
I cannot remember all but one commercial from Ruby/Sapphire . . if you ask me, NoA is doing a lot of advertisment for this game . . before it came out, all the game stores I'd been into were LOADED with promotions and posters and stands and crap . . it was pretty mind-blowing how big it was.
