Does anyone remember a MMORPG called Pokemon Online Advanced (POL:A) back in the days of when Bulbagarden first started? It was created by a guy called Konidias or MeowthBG (that was his name when he worked in Bulbagarden). I was just wondering whether anyone still had the old beta version of the game or knew where I could get it on the internet. If you do please reply back. Also, I want to make a request to get Konidias on a special broadcast of Bulbacast focusing on POL and Konidias' involement in the pokemon community. That would be very interesting as he just seemed to disappear from the internet after he abandoned POL.
 
Damn, we really need to create a Bulbapedia page about this. I must get asked at least once every 2-3 months about this.

Konidas got a cease and desist order from Nintendo relating to POL, back in...2001 I guess it was. Everything stopped then.

Konidas and I never got along. In fact, he campaigned to get Chris (a.k.a. Bulba, the original webmaster) to refuse to give me the domain name and rights to Bulbagarden, back in 2003, when I asked for permission to resurrect the site. While I could probably track him down if I wanted to (The Anenga forums are gone, but I still have a couple of people from there in my contact list, and I think I know where the bulk of them went), I can say with practical certainty that he would refuse to be on the Bulbacast.
 
I was talking to konidias on AIM and he agreed to be on the bulbacast. Somebody will need to talk to him and arrange the bulbacast

POL was such a great project, it's a shame it was shot down.
 
A special website should be created about POL on Bulbagarden and it should have the old game available for download. That would stop everyone asking about POL. Archaic, would you do that?
 
In a single word, no. It can have a Bulbapedia page, like any special thing in community history, but that's as far as it goes.

Regarding you contacting Konidas, I don't know if it's true or not, but you've way oversteped the bounds there. You are not a representative of Bulbagarden, and you had no right to go asking him to come on Bulbacast, and especially no right to go organising a time for a cast to be done with him.

I'm closing this topic now, and will close any further topics about POL that you make Haris, until you get the message.
