POL was a online RPG pokemon game created by someone called Konidias. The game was at it's peak during the days of the 'old' Bulbagarden. Probably many of the people here will not remember POL as it was around 6-7 years ago. The rumour was that Konidias was forced to stop POL after he got an email from Nintendo saying that he was breaching copyright laws and they would take legal action if he carried on. The truth was that Konidias just did not want to carry on with POL and simply abandoned it completely. That was then. Now, after years of no POL it is going to be revived be me. I have already bought the domain for the site, pokemonol.net and the site should be up and running in a couple of days.

As you can see I have already created some of the sprites that will be featured in the POL game (my signature). If anyone wants to create some more character sprites then go ahead! I will be using a combination of C++ programming and Multimedia Fusion to create the game. I am hoping I will be supported by the Bulbagarden webmaster, just like Konidias was supported by the old Bulbagarden webmaster, Chris. Stay tuned for more info...

P.S. To keep the 'old' Bulbagarden traditions going would it be possible for the BMG forums to have a category dedicated to POL? It is going to be big after all!
 
Well that's great to hear, I was always a big fan of the project.

Will the graphics engine be 'updated" a bit? POL was crashing right around the GSC days, right? There have been advancements in the graphics since then.

You'll be awesome if you carry this through to the end.
 
The Cease and Desist letter was, to my knowledge, not a lie. I cannot support this. And given the animosity that exists between myself and Konidas, I doubt he'd want me to support it either, or for it to be a part of BMG. I also doubt he'd like his project resurrected without his permission.

I'm getting rather sick of your antics here, Harris. You've pestered me about POL constantly (on one occasion even contacting me asking about a "rumour" of Konidas being on Bulbacast...something you started yourself, when you know we have no intention of bringing him on), you've pestered my staff about it, and you've apparently pestered Konidas himself (while falsly making yourself out as a representative of Bulbagarden), and now this. I've had enough.
