Those are kinda cool. Certainly better than the previous generation's coins. Though...what are those things with the starters on them?
 
I'm really excited about this...Except for the fact that, for me to import the english games, I'll have to pay a hefty amount of shipping. Actually the shippings costs about the same amount as the game. :(

They look really cool, I want one. Do you have to order the game online to get them, or is it an in-store promotion too? And are they only available at EB/Gamestop?

This is most likely to only be available at EB/Gamestop.
 
It says US$34.99. Which is about AUD$44.60. I'm really hoping my monetary situation improves soon so I can pre-order.
 
...I pre-ordered mine before this...I'll take my receipt in and ask for them...I want one. ;-;
 
The fools in my local GameStops said you have to preorder Diamond AND Pearl, both of them at once, just to get ONE stylus...

and even then you're not 'guaranteed' to get one.

Grrr... this is why I hate having to shop at GameStop... I wouldn't if they hadn't absorbed all the other game stores around.
 
Actually, I don't think this pre-order bonus is just exclusive to EBGames and Gamestop. Here's the official press release, straight from Bulbanews:

"Participating retailers will offer special DS styluses to those who pre-order the games. More details of this offer will be released at a later date. "

Then why when I looked at the sites for all major retailers that sell Nintendo products not even have D/P for pre-order? I only found it at Circuity City's site, and they didn't have the pre-order bonus like this.
 
Because EBGames and Gamestop sell primarily games. It's in their best interest to be as up to date on information as possible. With sites/stores like Circuit City, these games are a piddly little thing they happen to sell. With most stores like this, you won't see the pre-order available until MUCH closer to the actual release date.
 
I think we're still too far away from D/P's release (66 days) to start taking pre-orders. Here are some recent pre-order dates and gift items, in order from the most recent:

Start date of pre-order- actual release date- day difference- game
August 28, 2005- October 3- 35 days- XD
August 1, 2004- September 7- 36 days- FireRed and LeafGreen
February 9, 2004- March 24- 41 days- Colosseum

...I couldn't find any other official dates, even searching Bulbanews. But I think the general trend is to begin the pre-order about 30-40 days before the actual game comes out. Don't worry about it for another month.
 
Only about a month? My memory is non-existent, then. :p I can't do anything on Sundays, I don't know what I'm going to do about D/P.
