Pokemon personalities: Muk and Tangela?

Bulbapedia has a "Behavior" section on each pokemon's page, but unfortunately a lot are left blank or saying very, very little where it might as well be blank.

Muk and Tangela are blank. Tangela I think is an easy peg, but I'm not very clear with words at times and I'd like someone to try to pin words down for Tangela so I can have something solid to chew on.

Muk, however, I'm not sure about at all. Reason is there's the classic Muk image I think of when I think of Muk (or this one too: link), yet the only other portrayal of Muk I take to have credence gives off vastly different vibes.

I've never watched any of the shows or read the magazines, my experience is strictly from the games and a little bit from movies. However, I'm asking the overall personality of these two including in cartoons, magazines, etc. I realize there are differences and inconsistencies from one to the other in the pokemon world, but what is everyone's perception (particularly Muk, as Tangela is an easy peg as said)?

Why Muk and Tangela?

Muk gives me a happy, stupid oblivious guy who doesn't know his own strength and oozes everywhere. Tangela is that messy office secretary who should've been fired a long time ago but comes in handy just when the boss needs it.

I always feel like Tangela wants affection that he doesn't get because he looks like something that would normally be seen in a certain genre of pornography D; But those who don't run off find that he actually makes a lovely companion. One thing to note about Tangela's behavior is that he stretches his tentacles and uses them to grab things and absorb nutrients.

The TCG pages can be useful on finding additional information on pokemon behavior :3 I learned from one that Tangela is "known to be ticlish" and I saw another card where Tangela is pulling Jynx's hair.

Well since Tangela is the holy prophet they don't give it a personality, that would be blasphemy.

And Muk is just møkk.

Thanks guys. I was interested in Tangela because I overheard a conversation a fixation of mine was participating in and they were adamant that Tangela would be them if they were a pokemon. As for Muk: When I thought about what pokemon would be chosen for me, if I were to have been in this conversation, all I could think was Muk - not flattering at all, but people who don't know me/have never spoken to me on a one-on-one basis tend to find me what I thought of Muk like, so I wanted to see if my opinion was the general consensus to see if people would pick Muk as me.

seeker: Muk being "happy, stupid oblivious guy" is totally different from what I thought/what impressions the two pictures I linked give off. But earlier I had checked Ash's Muk's page and I can see the picture there (where he's doing the sludge bomb move I think) fitting with what you're saying. Perhaps Muk is just extremely varied and inconsistent across the pokemon world.

Ella: Your Tangela description is great and I can see it in both Tangela itself but also the person whom this is about. Thanks. And thanks for the TCG pages tip, I'll be sure to consult those when I randomly browse pokemon to read about their personalities and such.
