Pokémon Platinum announcement leaked?: Cell phone photo shows what appears to be CoroCoro page

A low-resolution cell phone photo appears to show a page from the June issue of CoroCoro that announces Pokémon Platinum, a new Nintendo DS game that features Giratina. Because the magazine has not yet been released, the authenticity of the photo has not been confirmed.

Any reason why the Japanese call Platinum "Puratina" instead of "Puratinaamu," or something like that?
 
Kinda disappointing because I already put over 100 hours in D/P so I don't want to play it again.

I've got over 200 XD

I can't wait for the 3rd game! (we all knew there was going to be one). I liked the Battle Frontier in Emerald, RS was kind of boring without it and I played Sapphire after I had Emerald.

There's also a rumour the underground will be wifi?
 
I doubt there will be an underground wi-fi unless you can only let people you have registered friend codes with, in.
 
Anyone else notice Dialga and Palika in the background where Giratina on the screen shot?
 
I saw that too, they may just be there to help stop Giratina

Hah, so they are. I wonder if they'd pull an Emerald and let you catch both in this game...

Giratina's MAAASIVE overworld sprite scares the bejesus out of me though.
 
They'll probably do the emerald, since they are both shown in this game. I mean, in Diamond and Pearl weren't they opposite only mentioned once, at Celeste Town?

No complaints here, that was one of my favorite aspects of Emerald.

Also, if Volkner is indeed replaced, I hope he's not among the E4 like Wallace was, and I *really* hope he's not replaced by Riley. Those would be far too predicatble.

Presumably because it's a Pokemon you can get early in the game - and since you can get it right away if you pre-order it wont completely break the game by hatching and using it right from the start.

Why would Riley replace Volkner? If he was going to replace anyone as Gym Leader it would be Byron.

Maybe Volkner will be part of the E4, but not the Champion (I cannot see Volkner defeating Cynthia)

I want the Shinx egg. :( I bet its special move will be Volt Tackle.
 
Speaking of Gym Leaders, I hope they rework the Dex so the later Gym Leaders can have National Pokemon.

And rebattling Gym's with revamped teams is a MUST. Wanna see the new evos get a workout outside of the Battle Tower.

If Volkner is part of the Elite 4, who would he be replacing?

Also Wifi Contests, or I kill Pikachu.

My prediction if this is true:

Volkner becomes Sinnoh's version of a Frontier Brain, or atleast a rival for you in Sinnoh's BF

Rework the Dex completely so most, if not all the new evos can be obtained during the course of the main game IMO.

Or just scrap the Sinnoh Dex all-together. But I doubt that'd happen somehow.
 
Yes. That's what I really want.

Someone mentioned this on Serebii, but what if Turnback Cave is used to switch between the Giratina forms? I thought that sounds logical, simmilar to how Deoxy works in DP.
