Hey, I finally registered although I have been here for a long time as a reader. There are a lot of great stories on here, but I haven't seen much in the way of poetry. Everyone who has any poems they'd like to share in any format, please do so!
I only have one to contribute, but here goes:
Up with our sun Dodrio sings
Rhythmically its voice outrings
Calling forth great travelers
To future times, & glory roads
Over a hill, through thickets thick
Where Kricketunes & tots loud click
A hero rises out of grip
From night induced slumber-abyss
Adorned with armours bearing sigils
Reminders of what world they reside
A circle with a twin inside
Split by latching middle meridians
To release great beasts within
To fight amongst that plane of men
Who deem themselves rightful captors
Of monsters which fulfill their whims
Feet to the ground, a hero walks
Many eyes she must now pass
Their owner's hold vacant glares
They've been defeated days long past
A hero flows through tallest grass
Its denizens attempt attack
Defeated swiftly, left in haste
Their fainted bodies now to waste
Oh how that hero remembers
On forgotten moons of Septembers
She had started her journey here
With that lizard-bearing-embers
When walking up this route
Seemed such harrowing a thing
Now she ambles through with ease
Through a gate leading to trees
A forest trembles at her might
Insects scurry out of sight
It is the shortest of travels
To that viridian metropolis now coming into view
That gym which was ransacked before
Now newly shows its welcome known
Like a building given full restores
The air is thick with earth & loam
For this is a home of terran terrors
Ground-dwells of a place beneath
Our mortal homes above the land
The air is thick with dirt & sand
The very floor here seems alive
Its arrows beckon one to spin
Into the sight of waiting trainers
Battles here will soon begin
These lackeys, though experienced
Are no match for our hero's strength
Loss is followed by more loss
They fail their task to guard their boss
Reaching a lonely corner
That leader stands completely still
Approaching now with caution
A hero tests her will
"Fwahahaha!" he comes to life
His suit gleams dull a midnight black
"You have won in long gone days
But this time, I'm not holding back!"
This chamber roars with flames of war
A Charizard in fullest forme
Spitting blasts of fire round
Melts through Dugtrio and Rhyorn
Comes forth a poison Queen and King
Defeated as the victory bell sings
Like flowers bursting through the ground
During an early spring
But now appears a fearful beast
Its armour skin like dried up mud
An awful horn upon its head
It hungers mad for mortal blood
Nightmarishly it stomps the ground
Releasing carnasauric sound
Wyrd fissures split open our Earth
Our hero's champion falls into that pit.
What power does this creature hold?
Has it aligned with outer gods?
Cast itself from Eden
To gain wonder truths from Nod?
Another & another fall
Until no noble ones remain
A hero like a fallen knight
There is no will to fight!
