I don't know about you all, but I think it would be an excellent idea if OLM made a "How to Watch" guide to the anime. Like the "How to Read" guides for Death Note and Bleach this would feature hard facts and biographical info about the characters, detail their roles in the story arcs, and cover the pivotal events. Furthermore, behind-the-scenes sections, such as interviews with people who've contributed to the show, would further augment the text. Sound off.

You mean like a data book? Yeah, a lot of manga (especially shounen manga) have those. Some anime have data books, too, though they're rarely very detailed in terms of character stats and such.

A Pokemon data book could be really cool, but... I don't know, it's been years, and something about the anime makes me feel like it would be hard to organize.

I would not mind one of these; it would be wonderful to see how these pokemon are doing when Ash is not around.

Does anyone remember Ash's Kingler? You don't do you?

But I'd love to see the current status of his pokemon that we don't even hear form now adays. Like when he gets to a new region he just stuffs them all in the fridge. :x

I'd love to see something like this, more in-depth than what we've got with the half-paragraphs and all. Do they still even DO those? I haven't seen those since Kanto, save for the movies, and even then they only tell us stuff that any fool watching the movie would know.

Which is strange because we get other information from OTHER sources. Like me being a fan of a certain collector...I only know he's supposed to be a scientific genius because it says so on a production sketch. It'd be nice to have something like that in a book or something.

what's more, we'd get the inside scoop on OLM's creative process

Yeah, I always find that stuff interesting. And it would be nice to see that as a special feature, included on the DVD of a Pokemon movie. =)

For example, they had cool "behind the scenes" things like that on the DVD for Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

Oh yeah, and we'd get to know about their way of dealing with fan feedback. Seriously, shipping wars alone...as well as the people behind the anime and their journey making it.
