I'm probably aging myself here (though I don't know how old everyone else on these forums are), but there's this video that I found the other day while I was trying to throw out old VHS tapes, which was basically this 15-minute video that I guess Nintendo (or Toys 'R Us?) sent out in Summer '98, aggressively promoting the upcoming release of the Pokémon games. It featured all of these live actors pretending to be related to Ash, including his aunt, his science teacher, two of his friends, and Misty's best friend, and it was just like a really brief overview of Pokémon as a franchise.

Does anyone else remember this video at all, maybe? I'd imagine a lot of people had it, and then a lot of people subsequently threw it out.

(PS- Is this the right place to post this? It seemed like kind of an odd-man-out topic, so I had no clue.)

I do remember that commercial, now that I think about it. It was quite ridiculous, in a sad, amusing sort of way. I remember Ash's 'aunt' scaring me very much.

Yeah, it made it's way through Youtube before being deleted for copyright reasons (can't really see why - I mean, it's a promotional video that was originally free. Sure there are some short clips from the anime in there, but...).

Can't remember a whoel lot of it, but it was, as expected, horrendously cheesy.

Yeah, good thing I saved the youtube videos. Although I am not that much interested in the dub. At the very least it could be considered as a piece of evidence.

I have that saved on my hard drive. I watch it from time to time because it's so hilariously bad.

Some of my favorite parts are when Ash's "Aunt" pronounces Pokemon, Pokemen, hearing from Ash's "cousins" how bad Tam Rocket is, and watching a clip from the second episode as an example of how brave Misty is to take on Team Rocket all by herself.

But the winner is definitely "And can you believe there are ONE HUNDRED FIFTY of those little guys?".

Whoa, 150! How will I ever catch all of them...
