Yes, this is supposed to be based on me and my life, just with Pokemon added to the mix, hope you like it!
Chapter 1: Discovery
It all happened suddenly one day in August. Gigantic fires broke out on grasslands and in forests, gigantic waves crashed against the coasts, giant ice storms froze the more northern areas of the world, blackouts, earthquakes, everything that could go wrong did. Being in Central Canada, we didn’t get hit as bad as many areas, just a blackout for the majority of the day, then power returned. Just as the blackout started my dog, Cookie, began to act strangely. I let her out, and followed. As soon as her feet touched the true earth, she began to change. She glowed a brilliant white light, and as it dimmed, I had noticed that her shape had changed. She retained her light brown coloration, but her ears were larger, and her face looked more feline, with large black eyes. Her shaggy brown fur was replaced with short brown and on her paws it looked like she had dark brown booties and the tail had shortened and there was less fur. I stood agape, and she looked at me quizzically, then she came over to me.
No one knew what happened; the world’s flora and fauna had changed. They now embraced and controlled the elements. After that one fateful in August, everything died down and the world became entranced and amazed by what they could do. Everyone knew what these creatures were, they were Pokemon, and they were real now.

Danny walked through the door to his home. It was a Thursday in September, and he was happy that the week was almost over. It had been over a year since Transformation Day when the world changed and his dog, Cookie, transformed into what is known as a Terreon, the rock/ground type evolution of Eevee. The winter was tough, but they had grown ever closer that year, especially when Danny had received a PT (Pokemon Tracker) for Christmas. His PT was his favourite electronic device, because it helped him check up on Cookie to see if she had raised a level or got hurt when he let her out to do her thing, mainly because Sneasel, Buneary, and Meowth were rampant in the area. Cookie quickly rushed to her owner, jumping on him. Cookie had become more obedient since the change, but she was still rambunctious when he came home from school. He gave her a rub, and then gave her some food.
He quickly moved to the mail as his Terreron ate, and scanned for anything that was for him. Nothing, and then moved to his computer to check his e-mails and chat, nothing. He sighed, hoping for a challenge, the only people he had battled lately were his three friends Mike, Michal and Joel. When Transformation Day happened, their pets turned into an Arcanine, a Houndoom and Furret, and a Persian respectively. Mike and Michal didn’t exactly care for battling, but they still cared for their partners as pets, and Joel only cared for power, not strategy. Danny was a mix of both, with his Terreon emphasizing strength and defense, with attacks like Tackle, Mud-Slap, and his personal favourite, Power Gem. Cookie also knew Double Team, which made her harder to hit.
Cookie quickly moved to Danny’s side, rubbing up against the computer chair to get his attention. They hadn’t battled in quite a while, and both of them were getting restless. Cookie’s fur quickly hardened to stone and she began to growl, Danny was bewildered as to what would set her off, perhaps a wild Pokemon in the backyard? The doorbell rang a couple times, then the screen door quickly opened and closed. Danny rushed to the door and opened it, and there was a note, which read:
Come battle me, unless you consider yourself a coward! Meet me at the school field at 5 PM, if you dare.
-Wiebe
Wiebe. Danny knew that name well. They were friends once, but High School had created a rift between them that friendship could not stand. They had not spoken for two years, so Danny was right to be surprised by the challenge. He had seen his challenger’s Pokemon though; it was an Arcanine named Aero and Cookie had the type advantage. It was currently 3:30 PM, so Danny decided to plan a strategy.
