I read in pokemon red and green about a version 1.0 with japanese signs for 'shop' and 'poke' instead of english.the only time i SAW them,was on a video with fake extended version of lavender town theme.i verified the MD5 hash of 1.0 roms i downloaded,then played,still no japanese signs.is that article verified?and with which rom?

hmm, not sure. I have Red Version in Japanese but apparently it's version 1.1 that I have according to a quick Google search, so all I can tell you is 1.1 has the words "Poke" and "Shop" in English
