We all know how much Seviper and Zangoose hate each others' guts, but what other Pokemon pairs would be bad matches? Well, this is thread to post what you think which two Pokemon can't get along with each other. Here are few of my ideas:

Persian/Honchkrow: Pokedex data states that Meowth and Murkrow have been known to steal from each others' treasure hordes. Quite personally, I doubt that hatred between each other will go away when they both evolve.

Bellosom/Vileplume: Well, there was an anime episode that featured Bellosom and Vileplume that were having a property dispute...

Mothim/Vespiquen: Sort of an indirect rivalry. Mothim tend to steal Sweet Honey from Combee, I can't say that a Vespiquen would be very happy about that.:sweatlol:

I know they were provoked in the movie and they're a trio rather than a duo; but I've always had a feeling that Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres hate the hell out of each other.

It's pretty much confirmed that Kyogre and Groundon have no love lost between them, right? And it's up to Rayquaza to get them to behave ^_^

I do believe that TPC has hinted that Ho-oh and Lugia may have a rivalry between each other (the intro of "Johto Journeys" show the two of them fighting), but I doubt that the two of them would cross paths very often.

Muk/Suicune: Muk can contaminate an entire lake with a single touch and Suicune can purify an entire lake with a single touch. I bet that Muk are the bane of Suicune's existence.

This isn't so much a rivalry but I think it's fair to say that not many Pokemon are very keen on Gyrados due to it's violent nature, and the fact it probably attacks other pokemon sometimes.

Wiscash/Crawdaunt: Both of these Water-types are very territorial, so things can't very good when these two clash...

Grimer & Muk/Shaymin: The little Chia Pet must be pretty tired of Grimer and Muk ruining its beautiful flowers.

Bibarel/Sudowoodo: I don't think that Sudowoodo would be very pleased with having Bibarel trying to build a dam with them.

Heracross/Pinsir: There WAS an anime episode where Heracross and Pinsir were having a territory dispute.

I wouldn't count that ep as a rivalry as the warden said that they normally lived in peace leaving eachother alone, until Team Rocket started stealing the Pinsir's sap. So that particular ep was most likely a one off.

Wow, no one said Dialga or Palkia yet, they seem to have a pretty big rivalry. Mew and Mewtwo also.

The pokédex makes reference to a rivalry between Seviper and Zangoose. Most likely based on the Snake/mongoose rivalry.

Someone missed the first post. :p

Would evolution rivalries (I don't mean branch evolutions) count? I remember the Lt. Surge battle, and, even though Pikachu didn't hate other Raichu, you'd have to at least think that some Pokemon will fight with their other evolutionary forms.

It would probably be only in individual cases (since most would want to become that form) but we have two examples of a Meowth having a problem with Persians.

personally, I never really saw Dialga and Palkia as rivals up until the 10th movie was announced (and to be honest, I'm kinda seeing the upcoming movie as a load of crap up to this point. They're trying to make the 10th movie seem like a big event, so they have the two new legendaries duking it out for the hell of it just to hype up the fans. And being the first new event Pokemon in line, after Manaphy, Darkrai would have to be showcased in a movie so that they could promote a giveaway, as they've always done with event legendaries in the past. That said, I think Darkrai's role in the movie seems very tacked on... I won't be sure until I actually see it, but those're my thoughts so far). Unlike Groudon/Kyogre, the games never mention a climactic battle between the two having taken place in the past, and while I can see earth and sea constantly clashing with eachother (volcanos expand the land, waves erode the land under the water), time and space seem like they'd have a more symbiotic relationship.

Yeah, the game doesn't mention any rivalry...which makes me wonder what they'll do for Game Three?

I think another Rivalry would be with Rayquaza and Deoxys. That was in the 7th movie. They had a nice battle scene.

Would Alakazam and Gardevoir get along, or would they be at odds? I imagine they'd be antagonistic towards each other, or at least edgy or prone to one-upsmanship.

Combee may hunt Weedle, and I don't think Beedrill would be too fond of Vespiquen. Of course, a horde of Beedrill is more powerful in general than a horde of Combee headed by Vespiquen, but then again they'd also be vulnerable to the Flying-element attacks the combee and vespiquen hurl... so combat would get nice and brutal very quick.

does anyone think about combee/vespiqueen and Beedrill
Hate Teddiursa and Ursaring?

What about Gyarados and Milotic. Gyrados being full of rage and Milotic being all calming.
