Rate my team please :)

Metagross Lv 50.
Item: Quick Claw

Movelist:
Take Down
Iron Defense
Pursuit
Phychic

Dragonair Lv 50.
Item: Left Overs
movelist:
Dragon Rage
thunder
hyper Beam
Fire Blast

Flygon Lv.50
Item: Black Glasses
Move List:
Bite
Crunch
Fly
Dragon Breath

my biggest concern is the move list on metagross and Flygon. Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Impressive, for the Metagross. But Dragonair and Flygon? Dragonair and Flygon are easily defeated with ice type moves. Flygon should have sandstorm. But dragonair's moveset is great. Sunny day might help to eliminate ice pokemon such as Glalie.

Edit: Metagross should have clam mind instead of Iron Defense.

Teach your Flygon a fire type move- Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Also Sunny Day. If not, simply use a fire type pokemon to defeat the ice pokemon against your Dragonite. Try and use Blaziken- great on ice and grass types.

mmm i'd agree, i dont see the point of bite and crunch on flygon, so i'd give him flame thrower

i'd also have sunny day instead of hyper beam on dragonair, too weaken ice and also boost your fire blast

if your open to changing your pokemon i'd suggest a blaziken instead of dragonair for better covage.

other than that, great team! i love metagross, it's just a shame you cant have metor mash before level 50 :/

good luck in the tower :)

Sorry, but his Metagross currently needs some major adjustments. First of all, he doesn't need Iron Defense, he needs Calm Mind to boost is special defense. Most physical attack moves are not very effective on Metagross, and Metagross has Psychic subtype to make sure that he doesn't need any physical defense. what It needs is sp. defense and sp attack to quickly kill the Earth and Fire type pokemon. Flygon only needs crunch to take away psychic type pokemon's powers. But I like the rare team.

when i said i dont see the point of bite and crunch i mean i dont see the point of having both, i'd get rid of bite because crunch is a more powerful version of it :)

and you are right about calm mind on metagross, iron defence wont do that much :/

Flygon probably needs sandstorm to weaken the other pokemon's team. But it should learn shockwave. Since shockwave is good against water type pokemon. And every pokemon team needs a pokemon with an unmissable move, right? And I understand Dragonair's power, but why are the moves so strong? The accuracy of Thunder is only 70. There is a large chance of missing. You can't have your pokemon missing. It might cost you your pokemon's life. Try thunderbolt.

thanks guys, I really aprreciate the comments.
some points I wanted to put out there.
1. haha, yes I know it was pointless to have crunch and bite, I just wasn't sure what to replace bite with. I have currently replaced it with fire blast. I would replace it with flamethrower but its too expensive in ruby.
2. I decided to keep dragonair for its versatility. I have currently replaced hyperbeam with Surf.
3. I have replaced steel defense with earth quake. Im currently looking for a replacement for pursuit and take down.
4. I am also looking for more help on some grass/poison moves that would be benifitial to me. I think my pokemon are fine, just their move sets are iffy.

Replace Dragonair with Salamence, since you can get one at level 50. The speed and power improvement will be more then noticeable.

First of all, we need to see your EVs.

Second, what the hell is all this talk about Calm Mind on Metagross? WHEN has that EVER been used? It's not a special attacking Pokemon. Yes, it does boost SpD, but what good is the SpA boost? If you want to give Metagross a stat-boosting move, give it Agility. Then teach it Meteor Mash (It CAN know Meteor Mash at level 50; have it stay a Metang until level 50. It will learn Meteor Mash and then evolve) and Earthquake. Pursuit is okay but will barely be used to its full potential. If you can get it to Emerald, teach it Ice Punch. If not, Shadow Ball will do (It's physical in RSE/FRLG). EVs for that would be 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe. If it's too late for your Metagross to learn Meteor Mash, just teach it Metal Claw. 50 base power, yes, but it does have a chance to raise Attack.

Third, where is this idea that "Sunny Day weakens Ice-types" coming from? Sunny Day weakens Water-type moves.

Fourth, having two Dragons isn't a good idea. If you don't have Metagross to fall back on (And it seems you're leading with it so it'll die first most likely) then an Ice-type or any bulky Pokemon with an Ice-type move will throttle you. Dragonair needs to go; it won't do very well for you. It seems that Dragonair is mostly a special attacker, so try Alakazam. Psychic/Ice Punch/Thunderpunch/Fire Punch (The elemental punches are special in RSE/FRLG). Timid. EVs for that are 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe. Flygon is not set up well at all. If you still want a Dragon-type on the team, how about Salamence? You could easily go mixed. Rash with Brick Break/Dragon Claw/Fire Blast/Crunch or Earthquake perhaps? EVs for that would be 132 Atk / 180 SpA / 196 Spe.

Final question: What's Clam Mind? A move exclusive to Clamperl that does absolutely nothing?

It's Calm Mind, people.

hey rate my team please

latios-focus band
psychic
dragonbreath
thunderbolt
calm mind

salamence-dragon fang
dragon claw
flamethrower
fly
hydro pump

starmie-leftovers
surf
ice beam
thunderbolt
psychic

Teach Flygon Earthquake. Flygon has a better attack than it does special attack, so that's one bonus. The other bonus is that it gets STAB on earthquake, making it even stronger.
