With Pokemon Rumble Blast, the 3DS sequel to the 2009 WiiWare title, now released in Japan (and arriving at North American shores on the 24th of October), you can discuss anything about the game here. Are you gonna get the game? Do you have any passwords to share? What are your thoughts on it? Did you like the new additions, particularly the new modes and storyline? It all goes here!

Personally, I'll be picking up the game once it's released here in the US. I was a fan of the original, despite the fact it was pretty simple and repititve. The addition of new play modes, and the extended storyline in particular, will do a great job at extending the shelf life of the title when compared to the original, personally.

Plan to get it on its inevitable European release, which interestingly seems to be being called "Super Pokemon Rumble", a certain other site says today. I wonder if it'll have a seperate translation to the US release...
Having not played the original game I can't really compare the two, but having extra features is always welcome. Would've imported it but Nintendo locking the 3DS stopped that.

It looks alright, from what I've seen. I can see the appeal, but it just doesn't appeal to me for some reason.
Even if it did appeal to me, then I'd probably skip it, since I'm waiting 'till the next main series game to buy another pokémon game.

The moment I get a 3DS, this will be the first game I get. The original was so addictive, and with more to this game, there's no way I'm not getting this.

I got the game last week.

You get access to pokemon from every region right off the bat, but other than that the game feels pretty much identical to the WiiWare version. It even reuses most of the music and assets from the first game! It starts to introduce new features about an hour into the game and trickles them out slowly, so you'll need to be patient if you want to get to the "new" parts of the game.

Unfortunately, it doesn't really take advantage of the touch screen, and the 3D graphics are quite unimpressive.
