Hey, what happened to that site? I was hoping to try and see if we could get permission to use some of thier images for Bulbapedia...

I'm never sure why these sites have to close down. Why not just remove the offending/infringing content? That way the site stays up, the company has control over their brand, and everyone's happy.

Perhaps the web masters don't want to deal with it and take the easy way out.

Because that's what Itomaru did, took her site down, and what was debated was one excerpt she'd taken from a book. She could have easily deleted that one part.

Too many websites go to the wayside because the web masters give up on them and don't feel like working on them anymore.

But sites that're updated regularly shouldn't have that issue.
