Pokemon-Satanic?

I think it's better to ignore Christians. If it doesn't benefit them in any way, they hate it.
 
Maybe it's also to do with the Shinto aspects and Traditional Japanese Religious thema of some Pokémon etc ?

I am not Christian, but my Christian friends say that is silly cult-type Christianity. He said that people like Catholic and Protestant and Anglicans are not so serious about such things ^_^;;;

I think there are worse things in the world than children's video gems ^_^;;
 
Actually, something interfered in my thought process. I can't imagine what the fourth word may have been. Plus, "Pokemon are SATANIC" would be more accurate.
 
You can still say "Pokemon is satanic" to say that the franchise itself is Satanic.
But saying "Pokemon are satanic", would mean that the fictional characters are satanic.
 
Because Pokemon use magic. Many of them even use Dark powers! Thus, they must be related to demons. The "heros" of the story can't do anything by themselves. Any challenge, from defeating these demons to simply getting to the next town, requires binding other demons to your will. Progression in the game requires slaughtering many other demons wandering the wilds, which your demons then draw power from (In the English language version, this has been concealed by saying that the defeated creature has "fainted", but if this were so then why can't you capture it?). And yes, many of these entities do appear to be cute or physically appealing, but who can deny that the succubus or vampire is physically appealing when you first meet them? Appearance is not what matters, as even the most disarmingly cute of these creatures possesses insidious abilities of darkness. Remember: Pokemon really means Pocket Monsters. Do you want your children breeding monsters?

Pokeball technology probably requires SOME vital signs going to store them. Besides, blaming translation doesn't prove they die ... pokemon rarely die in the games or the anime. If goth is your thing, I guess. Appearance is not what matters, as even the most disarmingly cute of these creatures possesses insidious abilities of darkness. I can totally see how "heal bell" and "recover" are evil powers. Remember: Pokemon really means Pocket Monsters. Do you want your children breeding monsters? The monsters on Sesame Street and the rest of Muppetdom aren't evil either. We tend to call any creature besides us (and even us) monsters.

These freaks are nothing compared to the Westboro Baptist Church. If it ain't in the bible, they're gonna think it's evil, basically.
 
Oh, boy... Not this crap again... There seems to be a lot of stuff like this scattered all over the internet by people who can't wait to see an end to the Pokemon series and I just wish that people would realize that Pokemon, like most major series of video games, animation, etc. out there, is just something that a corporation came out with and corporations are run by people, not demons!

Also, if Pokemon's satanic, why are there Christians out there who play it? If you check out the forums at Serebii.net, in the club section, there's one called the Christian Alliance or something to that effect.
 
That is not the Christian view! That isn't even a majority Christian view.....
what llxwarbirdxll is right. I don't think I have to finish the article to get what points they are trying to make. It is very easy to find perversion in anything. If these types of Christians went by any other faith they'd find perversions in Jesus calling him a war monger. It basically is written because they didn't have such things when they were growing up, and everything they liked was "American" as a kid.

Anyways, it is written like a high school paper, there is no point to even consider this because of how poorly sourced it is.

They can be just as bad: If they don't like it or find it different, they'll use the Bible to call it evil. Not even the real Bible most of the time either, but translated version.

Video Games? That's evil!
Rock Music? That's evil!
Japanese People? They're Evil!
Jesus wasn't white? You better believe that is evil!
 
People have been saying things about elements of pop culture for ages. You really shouldn't pay any more attention to them than pay attention to the neighbor's dachshund (sp) barking.

Your sarcasm detector seems like it might need some slight tuning. I was just taking a guess at what the article might contain. I don't think I would be posting here if those were my beliefs, or I would probably have been banned for trolling by now. I'm not religious, have a degree in Science (TM), and just got my Surfing, Volt Tackling Pikachu out of PBR :)
 
People keep saying that we shouldn't pay attention to the people who claim Pokemon is a Satanic franchise. I say by all means pay attention to them; this is some of the funniest stuff anyone could ever read! I'd hate to miss out on such a good laugh!

That's because not every Christian is a Christian. Some people are forced to go to church, by their parents and friends, and feel obligated to go. Others go to church and think of it as a place to socialize with other people. Also, you can't forget the fact that some of these churches donate food and money to some of their more poor members.
