Chapter 1: Beginning Adventure!

Red ran quickly, but quietly, down the stairs. He had waited for this moment since his birthday party had ended(which had just consisted of relatives, Red really didn't have any friends) he made sure his mother was asleep. The problem now was the volume. What if it was to loud? His mom was strict about bed-time. Being 10 was a gift and a curse at the same time. He put his finger on the power button, and gulped. Red presses the button, and scrambles for the remote and presses the mute button. Now all he would have to do was turn it down a bit and un-mute it.

He flipped through the channels, searching for that one program... ah ha! He stopped on the "Poke Channel, the channel for Poke-Nerds!", Red always thought they had a lame slogan. The credits for what ever show was on before finished, and they had a few commercials. Red was getting anxious, when were they gonna show it!?

Suddenly, the familiar theme song played, ringing through Red's ears like a sweet melody. He plopped down on the ground, and stared intently at the screen, getting so close his eyes started to burn. Lights flashed across the screen, and the honorable Prof. Oak stood, talking about how tomorrow would be the beginning of the 75th annual Pokemon Leauge. The old professor then showed all the starter pokemon he would be giving to the new trainers. Pidgeys, Rattatas, Charmanders, Squirtles, and Bulbasaurs. They all interested him, and he didn't know how he was going to choose!

Clunk! "Wh... who's there?" Red called out, frightened. He saw something moving in the kitchen. Red picked up the near by remote. It probably wouldn't do much, but maybe he could get a lucky shot? The figure moved once more, closer to him. "Come on out!" Red whispered. A paw shot out from the darkness. Than another, and another. A feline-like creature with large, black ears and a coin in the middle of it's forehead emerged. "Meowth?"

"Woah! A pokemon!" Red yelled, in surprise. He than covered his mouth. He had definately woke his mother up! He heard movement on the stairs, and the familiar, feminine, voice. "Red!? What are you doing up this late! And what in heavens name is that?" She yelled. He had some explaining to do....
----------------------------------------------
Red slipped into his bed, sadened and tired. His mother had made them release the Meowth back into the wild. He tossed and turned in his bed, anxiously awaiting the upcoming day. "It probably wouldn't have wanted to be my friend anyway..." the boy said to himself, and drifted off to sleep.
----------------------------------------------
Red walked out the door. Having finished his breakfast, prepared supplies, and said goodbye to his mother, he had departed. He looked into the skies, Doduo calls echoing off the trees. He looked at the Rattata scamper about, playing, eating berries, and many other things Rattatas tend to do. He than felt a hard THUMP and fell to the ground, dazed. He looked up and saw to other kids, who looked to be about his age. One, a boy, had dark brown hair, which covered most of his face. He had a dark purple shirt with a pokeball necklace, and accenting the shirt were dark pants. The girl had a small hat decorated with flowers, and a large green dress to go along.

"Uh, sorry about that, I-" Red started to speak but was cut off by the boy.

"Just watch where you're going next time." He said, and walked off. Red and the girl stared at him while he stalked away.

"Don't mind Blue, he can get a little cranky sometimes. I'm Green! Well, I should hurry along now, I have to get my pokemon!" She said, and ran off. Red ran to catch up, but she was to fast. Well, he at least had a rival. He finally reached the lab and gasped at the large building. It's double doors parted, the electronic sensors having detected him. He entered the building, and saw an entire library of books. "Woah!" He mouthed in amazement.

"Ah, are you Red? You must be the other trainer, the other two have already departed." A voice interrupted in Red's wonderment. He turned around and saw the wise professor himself. "Now, come along, I have to get you your pokemon." The two entered the room, which had very little in it. A near by table had a few pokeballs on it, all had a sticker corresponing to which pokemon was in it. "Well, go ahead and choose one." Oak said. Red walked up to the desk, and studied the orbs. He reached out and grabbed one.

"Alright, here goes nothin'!" Red said as he tossed the ball in the air. A red beam erupted, and it shot to the ground, revealing a familiar form. "Meowth!"

"A... Meowth!" Red yelled. It wasn't the one from last night, but, it was still a Meowth!

"Hm... I see you like it, alright. Here are your Pokeballs and a Pokedex. You know what it is right?" Red nodded. "Excellent. Now, head up to Pewter City, which is just past Viridian Forest, and there resides the first Gym Leader. I hope you enjoy your quest!" Oak said. And with that, Red left the lab. He had his first pokemon, and he was going on his first journey. He saw the night lights of Viridian City. He would sleep there for the night, and tomorrow, his real quest would begin!
END Chapter 1

Meh, I didn't like this chapter much, but, it's the first one, so I promise that the next ones will be better!

So... is anyone reading this? I'm kind've wondering, because I have gotten no comments yet, but I think it's because I am new. Oh well, here is Chapter 2~
--------------------------------------
Chapter 2: V.S. Mankey!
Red woke up with a start. He looked around the unfamiliar room, which had three beds, a television, and a bathroom. Quite simple, but, so different from his house. He grabbed his red jacket, and slipped it on over his dark blue shirt, and changed into some new jeans. He fixed his bed and grabbed his backpack. He clipped his pokeball to his belt. He was finally ready to go. He checked out of his room and returned the keys to Nurse Joy, and left. The sun shined down, making the dew on the grass sparkle.

Red walked up towards the nearest path to Viridian Forest, when he heard a rustling in the bushes. "What's happening?" Red grabbed his pokeball and walked closer to the shrub. Suddenly, a white colored blur popped out, taking Red by surprise. "Wh... what is that!?" Red cried. It looked like a pig, well, it had a pig nose, but, had furry covered body, with monkey features. "Mank mank, key!" It huffed. Red pulled his pokedex out, and aimed it at the small pokemon

"It lives in treetops, and if one becomes enraged, the whole colonie rampages for no reason." The machine stated.

"Sounds dangerous... and it already looks mad. I won't be taking any chances. Go, Meowth!" Red decided, and tossed the felines ball.

"Meowth!" It cried.
---------------------------------
Blue grunted as he shoved a branch aside. Viridian Forest had grown ever more plentiful in the last few years, and it became increasingly more tougher to get through it. "Damn... it's too thick over here. Pidgeotto, come out!" He tossed a pokeball forward, and a brown bird came out. "We're going to fly to Pewter City." The boy said as he hopped onto the bird.

"Let's go!"
----------------------------------
"Alright, Scratch!" Red cried, and the cat leaped forward, and clawed the pig-monkey, who jumped back and retaliated with a flying kick, which sent the Meowth into a tree. The pokemon dropped to the ground, in obvious pain.

"A... are you okay, Meowth?" Red asked, maybe he made the decision to fight to quickly. "Come on! Scratch again!" The cat leaped forward, and again, scratched, this time landing a hit on the Mankey, who jumped back. The two pokemon were at a stand still. They were both low leveled, so the battle could end at minute.

The Mankey jumped back into the bush and ran off. What? Red walked over and returned Meowth. "That was an abrupt end... oh well. I've got potions, so once I get to the forest, i'll heal." Red thought to himself, when he felt, and heard a rumbling. He turned around and saw a stampede of Mankeys running toward him

"Ah! Craaaaaap!" Red cried out as he started to run towards Viridian City. He was almost halfway, when his legs gave out, and he tripped, and slammed into the ground. He was done for.

"Rock Throw!" A deep voice called out, and a large storm of rocks hit the crowd, sending them fleeing back into the nearby mountains. Red picked himself up and looked around for the owner of the voice, but, he couldn't see anyone.

"That was... odd. Well, i'm thankful to whoever saved me. Maybe I will stay in town one more day..." Red sighed as he slowly made his way back to Viridian. If his journey was going to be like this all the time, than it was going to be a long one.

End Chapter 2
Next time, Chapter 3: Weedle, the lone wanderer!
