As you may be aware, throughout much of the world, there has been issues in regards to the distribution of Shiny Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon throughout the world, with the codes disappearing in just hours (or in some cases days before they were meant to be released). And compounding this, these codes were officially released the same day that the new Trading Card Game set (which was the target of much scalping) were released, which has seen VG codes for these Pokemon potentially given to scalpers, who are now selling these codes for US$50 or more (in some cases, as little as US$100). Like many people on the forums, I will not be giving in to these selfish scalpers who are ruining Pokemon Video Games for the players who are genuinely playing the games, and sadly, there are also people online giving out hacked Pokemon, often at a cost for genuine players. Sadly, this has not been unique to the United States of America, as this has also happened in Australia. For me, I went to EB Games at Watergardens this morning, and they were sold out of these codes. This also happened at EB Games in Deer Park (at Brimbank Shopping Centre) and at EB Games in Caroline Springs (at Caroline Springs Square).

As I discussed in another thread, what we have seen reeks with corruption as some staff at places such as GameStop (in the United States of America) and EB Games (here in Australia) has seen staff members (and even store managers) saying that they have no stock available, yet have stock in the back reserved for families and friends. As fans of the video games, we should all fight back against these scalpers, as well as fight back against people who are selling hacked Pokemon for profit and are ruining Pokemon for the fans who spent so much time and money supporting the franchise. And I hope that Nintendo and Pokemon gets behind the fans and help us fight back against these corrupt officials. We cannot support these scalpers, nor should we support these hackers. We need to support each other, as well as fans around the world (even if they are not on Bulbagarden).

A couple of days ago, I emailed Pokemon about the situation in regards to the Shiny Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon, and I basically got a preformated email from them about places where I could get the cards, but didn't actually answer my question. Many people online (such as people on Reddit) have been getting preformated emails, and the email I got this evening at just before 2000 AEST (UTC+1000) tonight was pretty much the same as what everyone have been getting. There was nothing on how many stores manage to sell out of their codes within an hour (and in some instances, before they were even meant to be released).

Having been a fan of the games since the beginning (I am now 40), I am becoming more disillusioned about the franchise as it seems to be putting scalpers who are not even fans of the franchise ahead of genuine fans who have been supporting the franchise since the beginning. I am now seriously considering cancelling my preorder of Pokemon Legends Z-A in protest over this fiasco, as Pokemon no longer cares about its fans, but it is putting these scalpers (who are only in it for the money) first and foremost in their minds. And even though I was looking forward to Pokemon Legends Z-A in a couple of weeks, I am now seriously considering cancelling my preorder, and there is a lot of people globally who are pretty much in the same boat as me.

Hopefully Pokemon can start putting its fans first and foremost again and fix this issue before it loses its fans, potentially forever.

For those who are wondering, here is the email I received from Pokemon in regards to the mess and corruption that was the Shiny Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon distribution (note that the email arrived at 1957 AEST (UTC+1000) tonight. Hopefully by naming (and shaming) Pokemon for this fiasco they can take action in resolving this.

This was the email I received from Pokemon on Monday in regards to the distribution

I stand by my previous comment that I am becoming disenchanted by the franchise over this fiasco, and hopefully they can fix the problem soon, or they will be losing fans left, right and centre.
