I know it might sound a bit stupid but I'm nervous about what would happen if I start tracking before my set bedtime, so has anyone tried that before? If so, please let me know. I haven't gotten any Pokémon with the dozing sleep type since the tutorial...

Solution
you can, yeah! there's no penalty for tracking sleep before your set bedtime, and you can even still get the rewards for going to bed on time if you start a new session then. for the record, though, you only get rewards for sleep sessions that are 90 minutes or longer. the game doesn't count anything shorter

Thank you for the response! ^_^

I want to clarify something if that's okay. Would I still be able to get Pokémon I can study sleep styles on just by napping?

yep. as long as you sleep 90+ minutes, you'll get pokemon. the only situation where you wouldn't is if you manually input sleep data instead of tracking it
