Commencing Wednesday March 31st at 4:30am (UTC), Pokémon Sleep will enter a maintenance period for an update of the software to Version 3.4.0. This update is expected to run for roughly four and a half hours, continuing through until 9:00am (UTC). In addition to preparing the game for the upcoming Latias Research event, this update also makes some minor balance adjustments to Absol and Kangaskhan.

Sleep Researchers are also warned of potential issues with sleep tracking should they update the app prematurely. While the app update may become available during the maintenance period, Sleep Researchers needing to track their sleep during maintenance should hold off on updating until after maintenance has concluded, and instead just start tracking sleep from the Under Maintenance screen in the app.

Latias will make its Pokémon Sleep debut alongside the start of the Latias Research event, from Monday April 6th at 3:00pm (UTC). Players who are in the middle of Sleep Research at the time it debuts should have a chance of seeing it when they complete their sleep.

As with other Dragon-type Pokémon, Latias collects Yache Berries. Latias has the Dozing sleep type, which corresponds to the "awake" or "light sleep" phase of a sleep cycle.

Latias's main skill is Heal Pulse (Energizing Cheer S). This Main Skill restores Energy to two random Pokémon on your team, as well as instantly getting you a certain multiple of the usual help from those Pokémon. If Latios is on your team, the amount of help received from those Pokémon is increased

As of writing, no information is yet available on the Specialization of Latias, though given the precedent of other Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in the game to date it's likely their Specialization will be Skills.

Latias will appear at Greengrass Isle, Lapis Lakeside, Amber Canyon, and Greengrass Isle (Expert).

Latias Incense items will be able to be used from the instant the Pokémon goes live. It's likely that this Incense will become available in special bundles available for purchase in-game before this event commences.
