Pokémon Sleep to undergo maintenance this week for Version 3.1.0 update, ahead of next week's Packed Portions Cooking Week Part 2 event

Pokémon Sleep will enter a maintenance period this week for an update of the software to Version 3.1.0. This update is expected to run for roughly four and a half hours, commencing Wednesday November 26th at 4:30am (UTC), and continuing through until 9:00am (UTC). In addition to preparing the game for the Packed Portions Cooking Week Part 2 event, the update also makes adjustments to Delibird's main skill, and to special appearance rates for New Moon Day.

These updates to Delibird give the Pokémon some appropriate theming ahead of the holiday season, and should give players some much needed assistance in leveling some of their recently acquired new Pokémon.

Balance Adjustments​

• Adjustments to certain helper Pokémon’s main skills and main skill chance
  Delibird
  Before change: Ingredient Magnet S
  After change: Present (Ingredient Magnet S)
  Gets you ingredients chosen at random. Sometimes also gets candy for one randomly selected Pokémon on your team.
  The number of ingredients obtained will be less, but the main skill chance increases.
  
  Notes: Main skill levels will be maintained after the update.
  Main skills of Pokémon you have already befriended will also change.
• Adjustments to special appearance rates
  Starting with New Moon Day #8, if you encounter a Pokémon with a special appearance rate, the number of Pokémon you encounter during that sleep research will increase by one.
  Normally, if you conduct sleep research twice in one day and research at least 11 Pokémon in a single day, the research rewards for the eleventh and any subsequent Pokémon will be less. However, if you encounter a Pokémon with a special appearance rate, the research rewards will be less starting with the twelfth—and any subsequent—Pokémon.
