Why haven't they made a second one? The first one was so much fun. It was the closest I felt to being in the actual world of pokemon in a video game. In fact, they could definitely benefit from the 3DS technology. Any thoughts/news?

Hmm, the 3DS definitely has potential. They could make you move the actual 3DS around to move the camera, like they did with first person view in Ocarina of Time 3D. It would really have than immersion feeling. I really enjoyed Pokemon Snap myself, though I know that the game wasn't originally intended to be a Pokemon game. I'm not sure why they never made a sequel, because I totally would have played it!

Yeah, a new Pokemon Snap for 3DS or Wii or Wii U would be awesome. And Robert from the anime could be the player character, seeing as he's just like Todd/Snap from earlier in the show, who was the player character in the N64 game. Maybe this time, we'd even get to choose between a boy or girl character like in other games.

I would love for them to release Pokemon Snap 2. I would want it to be free roam rather than the track that was in the first though. For the controls the gyroscopic movement would be amazing but it would also need some other way to look around like the touchscreen having a small control. I would also want the majority of the Pokemon represented too so no one misses out on seeing their favorite.

I could definitely get behind a Pokémon Snap revival on the 3DS. Use the gyroscope to get a better look around areas, augmented reality to take photos of Pokémon you've took photos of before (gotta work for the fun part!).

Also, to beat Pokédex 3D's AR - Feature old Pokémon AND make the pictures actually 3D.

If they made made the world larger ( I got bored with the first only having six) Then I would be All for it. It would be even better if you weren't bound to a track the hole time.

I thought Snap was way too overrated. :/ If they can make any potential Snap 2 less boring and less linear, and with more Pokemon, then I might actually give a "flying feather".

A Pokemon Snap sequel would really benefit the Gyro controls. More levels would be welcome.

I loved Pokémon Snap... a sequel would be great. The problem I see is that there's now too many Pokémon.
But anyway, I like the fact that it's a rail shooter. It allows you to go back to a level and take the same photos and improve them. If it was done differently it would be more realistic, but there'd be the trade-off of never being able to get the same picture a second time. Which would then present the problem of luck becoming a major part of the game... in your first run you might end up getting unlucky with none of the timing going right or no good photo opportunities coming up. Which would get annoying after a while if it happened too much.
If it is for the 3DS (or even the Wii probably has this potential) they should make it so the photos can be saved to a memory card or uploaded to your computer. That way you can actually show off the pictures or print them if you want (like how the original game had printers at Blockbuster).

Yes...SOMEONE TELL JUNICHI MASUDA!

I'd like the rail shooter element to stay, more areas/zones, and all 648(once Genesect is officially revealed) Pokémon in it!

Robert and/or an original female Player Character(named Shutterfly).

Professor Juniper Jr. as the Professor!

No Pokémon Signs...instead, Pokémon Keyshots(Photos of 9 specific Pokémon per area that unlock the next area, and repeats every new area until 1000-Armed Sky Loft(Arceus's Area and the Final Boss Area(of which there will be several.)

Shots/Pics can be saved to a SD cart.

Nintendo Wi-Fi allows for trading Photos to be graded by other people(10 Wi-Fi grades unlocks a Boss Area(Genesect, in LAB-A-Rinth)

The ZERO-THREE as the first vehicle(Basic)(can later unlock the OAK(has slower speed but is unable to be blocked by a Pokémon or Egg), the ELM(fast, but is smaller and easier to stop than the ZERO-THREE), the BIRCH(Land only, but removes the effect heat, smoke, Moves, snow(mountain-like areas only) and jumping has on the Cockpit and Camera) the KRANE(only usable in underwater levels, but removes the effects of Dim Water, Oil, Moves, submergence/surfacing, Currents, and jumping has on the Cockpit and Camera), The ROWAN(Space and Sky levels only, removes Clouds', Winds', Snow(high altitude variety), meteors, comets, thunder and lightning, the Sun, attacks, gravity and jumping has on the Cockpit and Camera), the DADDY(other dimensions only, removes random effects per level), and the FENNEL(all terrains, invulnerable, immune to all forms of obscuring, unstoppable, speed is adjustable)!)

Tools include Pokémon Food(now shaped like a large Berry), Rainbow Flute(Replaces Poké Flute), Pester Balls, Jumper Pedal(Allows player to head up into the sky/surface/upper atmosphere/Deep Space/random location in the dimension) to take pics for a time), StickyGunk(allows player to trap Pokémon in one spot until they attack it/the player uses another Item), and Command Sphere of (Insert level name here)(makes a Level boss appear, must be picked up every level)!

The Camera and all gadgets except Command Spheres are upgraded periodically as you get more photos/quality of such improves, in the following way:
Pokémon Food:Berries include Cheri/Chesto/Pecha/Rawst/Aspear-Leppa/Oran/Persim/Lum/Sitrus-Figy/Wiki/Mago/Aguav/Iapapa-Razz/Bluk/Nanab/Wepear/Pinap-Kelpsy/Qualot/Hondew/Grepa/Tamato-Cornn/Magost/Rabuta/Nomel/Spelon/Pamtre/Watmel/Durin/Belue...and so on, until the following:...Rowap-Pumkin/Drash/Eggant/Strib/Lantaf(renamed Gen III Chilan)/Nutpea-Ginema/Kuo/Yago/Touga/Niniku/Topo(these 12 being re-canonized, and the latter 6 gaining English names, and all except Eggant and Ginema gaining new effects for those which are duplicates, and PokéBlock Berries restructured for new Condition-boosting treat)All berries are available, and all have different effects on Pokémon , comprising their in-game ones crossed with their flavor)

Rainbow Flute:Required Targeting and lack of a invulnerability towards a condition), At first, it just induces silliness(Clear), but as it gains more colors, it gains more powers via different button combos:Blue:Causes Sleep, Yellow:Causes Confusion, Red:causes two Pokémon to be infatuated with each other(must be in same breeding group, opposite genders, and be able to produce eggs,), Purple:Causes Poisoning, Indigo:Causes Freeze, Orange:Causes Burns, Green:Causes Paralysis

Pester Ball:Basic(Agitation Level:Irritated)-Great(Agitation Level:Annoyed)-Ultra(Agitation Level:Furious)-Master(Agitation Level:Uncontrollable Cosmic Fervor)

Jumper Pedal-Jump for 1 minute-2 minutes-half the allotted time-whole time from start

StickyGunk-Stickiness level 1(1 attack/item breaks it)-2(3 attacks/items)-3(5 attacks/items)-4(permanent prison until level is revisited)

A free-range rail system, but timed.

How's this so far?

I say yes!

More levels with more special "Surfing Pikachu"-like specials and of course, more Pokemon. I'd also like the idea of have each course have different paths you can take. (Example: you're going through a clear path, then you have to decide whether to go left or right. Left takes you into a small forest while right takes you down by a beach.

As far as items go, they'd probably not add much since the whole point is to try not to disturb the Pokemon that much. But overall, a Snap 2 would be nice to see!

I'd like a few changes -
First, have the "Surfing Pikachu" and "Balloon Pikachu" and "Flying Pikachu" and all that be saved as separate Pokémon. I hate it that to take a picture of one you have to overwrite the others.
Edit - just remembered... I think they do save separately. But if they don't, they should.
Second, you should be able to save photos just for the fun of it. Sometimes I liked a photo better than the current high score and it ended up getting a lower score and automatically deleted.

I would like either "Pokemon Snap 2" or more of a spiritual successor (kinda like how Pokemon Channel is kinda like the Hey, You Pikachu 2), for the Wii U, or the 3DS.

Instead of being snap on that car-thing, how about you are a Pokemon Watcher and you can freely roam around a large world [this world will have many places such as a large grassy field, forest, a city, town/suburb, mountainous region, savannah, etc. and when you find a wild pokemon, you will either sketch a picture (with an outline of the pokemon already there that you will need to trace) via the Touch Screen controller, and draw in color for bonus points. I think that would be a great "pokemon in HD" experience for a player. Of course, it will be open world and there wouldn't be much of a story. I think that the town/suburb should be Pallet Town (they could base the design of the town on the anime's Pallet Town that would use images such as this as a design template:

Pallet_Town_anime.png

mostly because I've always wanted to walk around that place myself [not counting how it is done in the main RPGs], but because then, once you get a certain number of different pokemon sketches in your portfolio, you will need to walk to Oak's lab and show him the sketches.

I think they would need to provide you with certain pokemon for exploration purposes (a bird for flying, water pokemon for surfing, etc.). Perhaps in the beginning, you are given choices of pokemon, which would do the exact same thing because you aren't a trainer, based on generations. For example, you are given a choice of birds, a Pidgeot, a Noctowl, a Swellow, a Staraptor, and the Gen V bird and you choose whichever you want. Then the same for the other pokemon.

That's my dream Pokemon Snap related game!

I definitely think we could use a new Pokemon Snap, the 3DS is perfect for it.

Also, a Hey You, Pikachu! 2. All we ever got was a tech demo of Pikachu's face on DS.

That Pokémon watcher game would be cool... or it could have a slightly different concept. You could be Tracey and it could be set in the Orange Islands (and then we'd finally get the Orange Islands in a game). Except then the Pokémon available would be limited (the Orange Islands only had Kanto and Johto Pokémon... and it didn't even have all 251 species)

This would actually be a problem for a Pokémon Snap 2 game... how would they include all the Pokémon when they all come from different regions? Unless instead of it being set on an island, the photographer travelled the world, visiting each region

Also, I'm thinking they should make a Pokémon game toon-shaded. Then it could be made to look like the anime. I'm not sure if this should be done to Pokémon Snap 2 (because it would take some detail out of the photos... and photos should look realistic, not like cartoons), but I think it would be nice for some side-game. Maybe for a Hey You Pikachu 2. And they should improve the voice recognition if they make a Hey You Pikachu 2... mine completely stopped working when I was no longer a "little kid" (not to mention I don't think it ever worked perfectly to begin with).
