I just watched part of a video of someone talking about how much they, and all other Pokefans, want a Pokemon Snap 2. I wanted this, but then I realized that X and Y could have a Snap sidequest or minigame in it.

I was originally thinking that there would be a safari zone-type place, but you just take pictures, but then I remembered that there are many different places to go to in Pokemon Snap. There could be multiple places to go to, or just a separate island to visit, similar to the island in Snap.

Or it could be the way you expand your Pokedex, by taking pictures mid-battle and upload them to your Dex. If you forget to, then it won't be added.
This actually makes sense because in other games, there hasn't been a Pokedex before, so you go to fill it up, and somehow a picture of the Pokemon MAGICALLY APPEARS, even though the Pokemon has never been catalogued.

Also, while typing this I remembered that the first Gym Leader is a Photographer.

That would actually be a rather enjoyable way to add to the battles.

As long as they bring back the ability to have a rematch with trainers so that you don't miss the one person with a particular pokemon in the whole game.

I think I would prefer it if it were instead an aspect of Pokemon-Amie, or a sidegame/quest.

I think that if you don't take a picture the it should be filled out with just basics, like types and abilities but then if you take the picture it adds it to the dex and fills out a little more, like height and "body color", then if you catch it have it add weight, a description and anything I have missed. It would also be cool if catching it would be less info then catching and taking a picture however only if you could take a picture of ones you have caught.
I would use this feature all the time if it was added, though I'm pessimistic about it, but think a Pokemon snap 2 would far exceed a mini game in X&Y.

I'm thinking of an arcade where you can play all of the past games as scaled minigame versions, like Ranger, Dash, Pinball, Puzzle, Trozei, Snap, Rumble, PokePark, and Mystery Dungeon. It would be pretty fun. Maybe Pokemon Picross, a scrapped paint-by-numbers game for the Gameboy and Color, could even be recreated as an arcade machine, along with Picross NP, an unrelated game with 12 different minigames. Typing Adventure probably wouldn't make it into the final cut. Hey You, Pikachu has been remade and enhanced with Pokemon Amie. You could get a card to save your progress.

You know what? Maybe we could get an ingame DS-esque portable console that comes with Snap. You could buy the other games at a gaming store, named GameGo or DAGames.

Being able to take pictures mid-battle would be pretty neat, especially if you could photograph your Pokemon while they were in the middle of an attack animation.

Now there's an idea to keep the moral guardians' panties from getting in a twist!

Nix the slot machines and casino vibe of the past game corners and turn them into arcades where you can play stuff like Pinball, TCG, Snap, puzzle leauge/challenge, the Pokemon Mini games, and Trozei. Some will come with the game, others will be free DLCs given out during events.
