Pokémon Snap to launch Dec. 10 in Wii Shop Channel: English version of game to include new features

Pokémon.com has announced the Dec. 10 launch of Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap to the North American Wii Shop Channel. For 1,000 Wii Points, Wii owners will be able to download the game, originally released in 1999, to their Wii's Virtual Console.

December 10th? Off to check the couch for spare change!

I remember getting that game for my birthday quite a few years ago. :)

Now, Nintendo, please add more features to more old games such as, re-releasing Mario Kart 64 with online capabilities!

Since I'm getting a Wii for Christmas,I gotta get me a Wii point card so I can get Pokemon Snap.

I just downloaded it and have been enjoying reliving the memories. :)

Was on the European VC for the 11th too, by the way. Nintendo snuck it on without telling anyone well outside the normal VC update day (Friday).

It came out on my B-day! I'm probably going to get it just as soon as we can connect out Wii online again.

They really didn't do that much to the game, in all reality. In the original cart, the program sent the pictures to a printing station (like the ones in Blockbuster stores). All Nintendo did for the VC release was change the destination to export the pictures onto an SD card. The coding between the original cart and the VC game are still virtually identical.

And Mario Kart 64 has already been released on the Virtual Console.

Not to mention that Mario Kart 64 already is fully functional without having to add/delete anything. Am I right in thinking that it would have taken more work to remove the photo export/print option completely?
