NOTE: Be polite and respect others if you post here. I don't want this locked because of flame wars.

I know that we are all Pokemon fans and love Pokemon dearly. And I'm sure you love the spinoff games. But...are there any spinoff games that you don't care for or outright dislike?

Here are two that I don't care for:

Hey You Pikachu - I just didn't think it was that good. It seems too kiddy, like back in the days when the Pokemon fandom was often assumed to be made up of 6-year-olds. I like my games with a little more maturity.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - They're so guilty of the following: What Measure Is a Non-Cute? - Television Tropes & Idioms

The good Pokemon are, for the most part, cute or docile-looking. The antagonists are always Poison, Ghost, or Dark-types. For most of the game, you play as cute Pokemon. Granted, you can recruit Pokemon of those "bad" types, but it's about time that we should get an evil Jigglypuff or a friendly Ekans. And outlaws can be cute Pokemon too. The thing is, I'd like to see Poison/Ghost/Dark types as good guys.

I usually get most spin offs, but Puzzle League, Dash, and Trozei slipped under the radar for me. Some kinds of puzzles are fun, others just aren't I guess. I was never a fan of any of the zillions of falling block/other objects type puzzles. Nor did I buy Pokemon Dash just cause, well, it didn't seem very content packed. Maybe I'll get it eventually though....

I only enjoyed Pokémon Puzzle League and Pokémon Snap. The rest, TO ME, suck.

The only pokemon spin-off I played was Mystery Dungeon. I wasn't interested in the others.

Pokemon dash mainly. Though Trozei was a little disappointing aswell.

Pokemon dash felt pretty much like a cash in. They could have at the very least allow you to use more than Pikachu. So much could have been done to make it better.

Got bored with Dash within 30 minutes of owning it.

I also never liked the ranger games. I only played the first one so as far as I know, the other two could be fantastic. But I had to pretty much grit my teeth just to get to the end of Ranger in order to get the Manaphy egg.

None really, but I didn't like Puzzle League. It might've been better as Panel De Pon, if it was released in US.

Dash. I got it with my DS when I turned 10. It's not that bad, just bad considering how awesome most Pokémon games are.

Hrm, I don't like:
Snap
Dash
Any Ranger game
Any Mystery Dungeon game

I can probably think of more...

Anything centered in Pikachu: Poképark, Hey You Pikachu, Pokémon Channel...
I just dislike Pikachu, so of course I wouldn't like a game starring it.

Pokémon Snap. I don't really care much about it. Nothing else to say about it, really.

Pokémon Puzzle League. You'd think I'd like this since I really like the Panel de Pon games as a whole, and I do like Pokémon Puzzle Chalenge... But the "cheesy pokémon anime everywhere" kind of makes it unbearable for me. It also doesn't seem to play as smoothly as other versions.

Pokémon Trozei! See Pokémon Snap.

Pokémon Pinball. See Pokémon Trozei + I don't like Pinball at all either, at least not enough to consider it worthy of being a full-fledged game, more like a minigame or just something you play for ten minutes.

And I guess the "box" and the ranch games. Though do they even count as games...?

And... that's about it, I guess.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - They're so guilty of the following: What Measure Is a Non-Cute? - Television Tropes & Idioms
To be fair, the game is at least self-aware of that. With things like the Weavile team being not THAT bad at all and just with a pretty bad reputation. And seems to avert it with other really minor NPCs...
But yeah, that is a thing I disliked of the games, the "scarier" pokémon that got the spotlight were those characterized as bad ones. I kinda wish that at least Cresselia would have been acting on a "well intentioned extremist" deal and was actually in a misunderstanding, rather than being just Darkrai.

The Ranger games are pretty bad. I couldn't even sit through the tutorial without getting fed up and shutting the game off.

For me, it would be Dash and Trozei. Pokemon Dash was one of the first DS games I got along with my original DS system and I did like playing it at first. Unfortunately, the novelty wore off pretty quickly and it became quite dull. I think that Trozei was better than Dash, if only for being more unique, but it also kind of suffered with the same problem of getting dull after awhile. I tend to really enjoy the spin-off games, but these were the two that I enjoyed the least amount playing.

To me Pokemon Colosseum and XD: Gale of darkness were lame. Both games were pretty much the exact same thing. And I hated the system for catching wild pokemon. Give me another Stadium game!!!! :banghead:
