What types of stuff would you want?

How would you set up the Gym Leader Castle?
What minigames would you put in the game, and how many?
How many "Rounds" would there be?
What would be the Stadium Cups?

and other stuff you can discuss here.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

Wouldn't Stadium 3 kinda overshadow PBR?

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

Yeah, but PBR sucked IMO. *shrugs*

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

If you want to get anal about it, Stadium 2 is really Stadium 3... but whatever, "Battle Revolution 2".

We need to make it not suck, for one thing. :D

-Much more trainer customization; clothes at cheaper prices.
-Ability to play DS games on-screen, using the DS as the controller.
-At least double the amount of friend cards one can save.
-I'm not good at making up teams or anything, but Gym Leader Castle needs to return with the Sinnoh and Johto gym leaders. Hey, why not bring in Kanto and Hoenn while we're at it?
-In the style of Gym Leader Castle, how about fighting different characters from across the franchise as a whole? Colosseum and XD characters (Miror B.!), main series player characters, NPCs and rivals, more obscure characters like Lucy Fleetfoot, etc.
-I'd love about fifteen or twenty minigames, although that's probably pushing it. Don't have any ideas off the top of my head.
-Keep the Battle Revolution stadiums; maybe add in some Battle Frontier facilities? And some new challanges.
-Make Mystery Gifts cheaper; let them be transferred more than once.
-Some cool unlockable stuff like rare official art, assorted videos and clips from throughout the franchise, maybe some unique anime shorts like that Pichu Bros. thing in Pokémon Channel.
-Ranch means this will never happen, but we really should be able to store our DS Pokémon in these games.

Basically, the expanded Stadium which PBR should have been instead of the trimmed down Stadium it truly was.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

Not really sure what the point of Pokemon Stadium 3 would be at this point. If there was going to be a game called "Pokemon Stadium 3" then it would probably have come out for Gamecube instead of Pokemon Colosseum. I think the best thing to do about PBR being so shitty is just shrug it off and hope they don't fuck up the next one.

On a slightly unrelated note, I can't believe PBR is still $45 for a used version at Gamestop. I might buy it despite it's terrible reviews both by fans and critics if they would offer it at a reasonable price.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

At least I know one thing, I wouldn't buy it. I didn't even like Stadium in the first place.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

Why are guys so sure a "Stadium 3" would have a gym-leader castle and mini-games? To be a Stadium title, all it needs is battling. A "Battle Revolution" title could be just as good if it had the same gimmicks and features as Stadium 2.

They weren't in the original, they were only added to the second one (first everywhere else). The original Stadium was just as bare as PBR. In other words, you have your "Stadium 3", Battle Revolution, but with a different title. (Or if you want to get technically, Stadium 2.)

If the next console title is a Battling game, I'm hoping Genius Sonority (or whoever's making it) will add more features and make the game worth 50 bucks. I like the Battling titles, but I'm personally hoping for a fusion between Stadium/Revolution and Colo/XD with routes and wild pokemon similar to the handhelds in the story mode.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

I agree with everything Lil Brother basically said. that would be an awesome game. A few things I'd like them to add though:

-Better attack animations. I'm glad they've managed to make contact animations for physical attacks, but they look so stale. I'd like it to be more fluid.

-I haven't actually played PBR, but I've read that there are zero statistics for online battles, which I find kind of lame, so that could be fixed as well.

-A more dynamic camera, like the one in the very first trailer (I can't believe the beta version looked better than the finished version, lol).

-Being able to select from a wide variety of songs for the battle music. Ideally, they would feature every pokémon song from the series, but as long as they have a lot, it would be fine.

-This can't really be changed now, but I honestly think that My pkmn ranch should've been part of a console game like PBR or something.

I hope it would. PBR wasn't very fun, rather dull.

Before they make Pokémon Stadium 3, they need a Pokémon Snap 2.

YEAH, I get to beat up EVERBODY IN THe games! In 2 1/2 hours!

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about how boring the animation gets after only a few minutes. Also, they could give the announcer more phrases and try to make it sound more natural; more "Oddish makes its move!" and less "Oddish! Makes its move!" Also, while some of the Pokémon look quite good, some... don't. No one's expecting photorealism, and that would look odd anyway, but c'mon.

Yes. Holy crap, yes. And include the "play this song or that song a specific percentage of the time" feature to make it a bit more fun.

Yes! A wide array of customization options would be great (like playing certain moments during certain events, as you said). I also forgot to mention that they could have more interesting and dynamic staidums for battles, maybe even retro stadiums (like Pyrite or Realgam Colosseum).

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

Yes, that's sort of the point. PBR sucked. We want the old-timey N64 game mechanics back...

In my opinion, Stadium 3 would be a great thing for the franchise. Gym Leader Castle, those addictive minigames, everything else... oh, the nostalgia.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

I would love there to be a Stadium 3 or at least Stadium-esque like Pokémon Wii game.

What I would like included:

Rental Pokémon

Better customable characters options

The return of mini-games

The ability to unlock Stadium 1 and 2 mini-games

The return of the Tournament Cup System

The ability to customize your own Tournament Cup and have others play it over Nintendo Wi-Fi.

The return of Gym Leader Castle with the Sinnoh Gym Leaders as the default group and the Johto/Kanto Gym Leader Castle of HeartGold/SoulSilver as a secret unlockable Gym Leader Castle.

Customable music introduction for your in-game avatar (both default in-game music and being able to put are own music in via SD Card).

Being able to play Pokémon Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, and HeartGold/SoulSilver on TV with the DS as the game controller.

Unlockable rare official artwork.

Some of these features are more believable than others, but I would love to see these be included in a Pokémon Wii game.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

What I really want is a pokemon game of this nature that takes elements from each of the previous games from this series.
The Wii graphics from Battle Revolution, minigames and Gym Leader Castles from the Stadium games, and the story/RPG from the Gamecube games.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

I wish people would stop saying PBR was a bad game. ._. The name implies it's for battling. It's what you do in Pokemon, battle. PBR allowed you to do this, in full console 3D, with people all around the world. Sure, mini-games are super special (if you're 9), and PBR was released pretty prematurely, but I still think it's a whole cut above Stadium and Colosseum.

On that note, I'd like to see a 3D battling game that can combine all elements of 3D Pokemon. Keep Stadium's mini-games and Gym Leader Castle for the 90s babies; keep Colosseum's story mode, cause it's fun; and finally, random Wi-Fi battles, customizable trainers, and Pokemon Anime announcer in.
That, for me at least, would be the perfect 3D game.

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

Long ago I listed a lot of stuff I wanted for the next Pokemon Battle game on Pokemex Forums, then I got bashed for asking the "impossible" and people reacting like I was punching Miyamoto to death or something.

Anyway, here we go...

-Dynamic Animations-

That is, Pokemon moving a little more while not executing their moves (something simple like attacking and defending); plus, different animations for Evade, Miss, Effective, Regular and Super Effective.

Some transitions, for example, pokemon being K.Oed right after getting the last hit instead of the usual "get hit, return to neutral pose, faint", even some special animations in case of special moves like Pursuit and Whirlwind, like the pokemon being switched out, getting hit by pursuit while having a "surprise" expression or in case of Whirlwind/Roar having a "tripping" or "being forced" animation while switching out.

-Custom Avatars-

PBR was the right step, but fell short, we need just the basic templates of PBR plus a lot of clothe sets inspired by NPCs, like Bug Catcher set, Cool Trainer set, etc., of course, not all would be compatible with all character templates, but it would be better than the current ones, and let us have different hairtstyles, not just hair colors.

For starters, how about having Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh (Isshu maybe?) trainer outfit by default?

On that note, defeating the Stadium leaders would unlock their set of clothes, any set of clothes must be separated to give some more customization, like using Beauty's skirt and Cool trainer's jacket.

-Pokemon Cups-

Taking some inspiration from Mario Kart cups, it would be like having all current generation cups to clear, like this.

*Kanto League = Gym Leaders + Kanto Elite 4 + Champion Red(if you like, Kanto leaders with their HG/SS models for consistency).
Unlocks *Jotho League = Gym Leaders + HG/SS Elite 4 + Champion Lance.

*Hoenn League = Gym Leaders + Hoenn Elite 4 + Champion Steven.
Unlocks *Sinnoh League = Gym Leaders + Sinnoh Elite 4 + Champion Cynthia. (Possibily add Isshu league)

Of course, defeating each gym leader gives you their clothes for your avatar (yay, custom cool girl + Misty's outfit from HG/SS).

You could have unlockable challenges like the Bird trio + Lugia, Beast trio + Ho-oh, etc.

-Custom Leagues-

Like in the Stadium games, you select which pokemon are able to participate, you can set it up like smogon if you like it, have petit cups, baby cups, even uber cups.

-Storage-

Being able to select which pokemon you copy from DS games to your storage, I wonder why they limited it to one DS game and transfer the whole PC storage, we don't use all of those pokemon for battles.

I think that's all I would put on the next game, maybe some extra stuff, I am not a fan of mini-games, that would be better on something like a Pokemon Party game or the like, as for Playing the DS games on the wii, it would require a Wii player, not just connecting, it would be impractical and would cost us another add-on for the Wii, one thing is Download-Play on the DS and the other is being able to play the DS on the wii.

Please rate and comment XD

Re: If a Pokemon Stadium 3 comes out for the Wii.......

I'd mostly be interested in it as a proper storage solution, without the silly restriction on Ranch and PBR where a Pokemon can only go back out to the game that deposited it.
